HOWEVER, that being said, I too am conflicted with his win with Mika. I always try to give benefit of the doubt and explain away some things, and not be so quick to outright call something “cheap” or “unfair”… Matter of fact, I don’t really use “cheap” anymore – I outgrew that back in the late 90s. That is a “you” problem, not a “Mika” problem.

Wouldn’t really say that, since I don’t have that reaction with the others in the cast. But, fair enough, I’ll take that slap… Like I said, wish I could elaborate better without just sounding like a whiner…

We really have no idea how capcom will handle this game year 2.

Since the only changes made to characters was down right broken shit and jump frame adjustments within the month of the games release, they could continue to sip on their “all characters are viable” kool aid and just add characters to the game.

Yes, agreed. And now you understand why sf5 is as lame as it is. Granted that I don’t like a few things about sf4 “cough (rufus/twin style divekicks and crouchtech in general) cough”

But that is what we are left with. A game with few to no easy confirms that leave you in position to pressure your opponent on block, a game where basically everything is negative on block or requires meter to be safe or plus, a game where throws have 1 extra tech frame and have no range and characters are balanced by having or not having a 3 frame move and weaks knock super far back and knockdowns are very toned down across the board etc etc etc

Yeah, the game is pretty boring. But it’s still streetfighter and still the newest and most popular 1v1 style fighting game with rollback netcode to make it at least somewhat playable.

The only fighters worth considering via netcode outside Japan are KI and skullgirls and both are rather old and have super small communities.

So like it or not I at least am stuck with this game till something better comes out.

If SRK players understand that jumping is for scrubs…then that would mean SRK players should have a good ground game with the reactions to match

…which means SRK players should never let a Mika player land a charged stHK
it also means you should never let a Mika player abuse stHP…or dash up command grab…or let a Mika complete her 10 back to back fake blockstrings into clap

I thought SRK players knew that a good mika will use stMK to set up her…actually…I won’t even type this…why help SRK players learn how to defeat Mika…it’s not like tournament players come here to level up with all of our fruitful information and it’s not like SRK players go to other character sections to spy on tech

The real issue again, players have issues when they’re cornered…from rookie…to diamond…to offline…it’s just what it is…one must take FEELS and adjust accordingly because playing SFV in the corner is literally playing a different game

We really need to start holding sparring sessions that bleed into in depth critiquing. Which then leads back into more sparring sessions.

This bitching has to stop. Players rather be thrilled about seeing a character nerf’d than them looking back into their own past and saying “I conquered my demon”

I’m used to the whole “Street Fighter is boring” thing – dates back to the 90s after other fighters started coming out. To this day, I remember people refusing to play SF anymore after MK and Tekken came out because “Street Fighter is so boring now, I wanna do combos” or “the characters look so real” became the big explanations.

I agree, play what you like. I have my issues with SFV and my ideas on ways to make it better, but I thoroughly enjoy SFV waaaay more than SF4. Because SFV is SFAlpha-like, is perhaps the main reason I have so much fun with it.
