And I would give my body to Bonita.

You could easily have avoided the situation by not damaging our hero and build his meter and be grateful they removed chip kills

any detriments to starting the next rounds with the left over v-trigger gauge from past rounds?

mhm…they did not…its still in the game as you should know

Akuma in Tekken 7 disgusts me.

Oh shit Lord Areese is also in the T7 tournament.

There should be a Critical Art II and III for each character like 3S .

Isn’t it basically just a chip kill, though? If this was any other Street Fighter game he could just chip you out, particularly off a hard knockdown. Hell, if he had super he could do it in SFV too.

Besides, he needs to be in V-Trigger, get a CC sweep, your health needs to be low enough you can’t just jump and eat the fireball, and you can’t have a projectile invincible move. As far as unblockable set-ups go, that’s a really specific one.

yes it is…and its not that you see this situation appear all the time but its in the game and it happens…and i think its dishonest.
nothing more nothing less.

Ryu is far from honest right now. But I highly doubt he will get nerfed, since normies gotta see him on espn to recognize the franchise and buy the game.

You couldn’t be more wrong. He’s the most common matchup and everyone should know it better than their opponent. He’s always at the disadvantage in this regard and if you can play solid defense and limit your mistakes it makes it really tough for his damage output from certain punishes to be a difference maker

There’s a reason only one other person besides Daigo and Tokido has made top 8 at a premier with him

I think it’s such a specific issue that it’s not high on my list of dishonesty. Urien, Mika, Vega and probably more of the cast can already do way worse on a nearly dead opponent off a hard knockdown if they have their Trigger. Besides, a CC sweep should have some rewards.

On the Ryu topic, I hope we get to see a Nuckledu vs Daigo rematch to see if Daigo can bring some adjustments to the matchup because it’s pretty clear Ryu loses the projectile zoning battle

People will leave Canada sober?

Because players of the caliber of Tokido and Daigo are playing other top tiers or high tiers. The character doesn’t need to carry players all the way up to be unbalanced.

akuma is fucking plain stupid in t7
fuck that game

They’re playing Ryu only because it’s what they know and because he has all the elements of a strong contender. That doesn’t mean that Ryu isn’t high maintenance nor does it mean he’s dishonest. Everyone knows Ryu’s strategy and frame data and should be easy for them to design a strategy to neutralize his strengths.

If you look at the 2nd tier Ryu mains like XSK, OliverQueen and NL they have almost no chance of making top 8 without playing the tournament of their life. Ryu’s ability to adjust to the matchup and opponent’s tendencies is extremely difficult to master

Y’all didn’t like my suggestion of ex. V-reversals?

I found very lazy that in Tekken 7 they gave Akuma the same moveset he has in SF with the same commands like qcf, dp motions etc. This doesn’t encourage new players coming from a 2D fighters background to learn how Tekken works. No wonder Poongko could transition so easily to T7.
I like a lot more what Tecmo did with Mai in DOA5, she still has her classic moveset but she plays much more like a DOA character. It’s a better way to make the transition imho.
