Sometimes when I join “Battle lounge” and the announcer says “Battle lounge!” I feel like he’s saying “Alright, so you ain’t up for Ranked huh, pussy?”
Of course not,I’m just saying whoever told u ki is crap to play outside the US online lied to you.
Both, he didn’t lose a tournament for around 4 years IIRC while always winning most of the tournaments in a year and through the whole game’s history he was always by far the biggest threat at anything he entered.
There was a point where he started using joke teams to make people enter tournaments and still won them.
I’ll give you the lol. But no, its a really good game that people didn’t go for.
Maybe it was hip to hate it?..
*edit. Forgot the word game
Double edit. I can probably count the number of timeouts I had on one hand. Git gud

While I wasn’t into the competitive scene at the time, I heard stories afterwards about people deciding not to enter tournaments because Justin was rumoured to be entering, and they thought it would be a waste of money to go.

So based off of this info …
Justin… then
…
…
ChrisG… then
Sonic Fox…?
Also does any other player have a reign like Justins Marvel 2 one?
ps
Sonic Fox is a beast IMO - i dont get the less skilled NRS talk,
is that the general agreement- that NRS games are easier than capcom?
I never said it’s “crap” outside US, I just said there are much less people playing it. It is confirmed by many people and personal experience.
I always find myself briefly getting into a new game…only to dip back to SF after a few days. That’s been my habit for awhile now.
KI was one of those games I really wanted to get into, but I eventually lost that desire. No idea why. It might be reignited someday.

Honestly my biggest deturrent from playing other fighters is the playerbase, since I’m often online when most people are at school or work. Hell I’d be balls deep into Skullgirls but there is literally nobody to play when I’m on. Same thing with MKX on PC.
It’s one of the things I hate about fighting games, and it seems like you can’t get a playerbase even somewhat comparable to a shooter without removing the depth that makes them attractive to me. Even old shooters like Halo:CE probably have a larger playerbase than niche fighters like Skullgirls.
No matter what you say about Capcom fighters, if they came out even remotely recently you’ll be able to find games.

I have the same problem.
Every other FG just increases my desire to get better at SF.

For me, it’s mainly that I only have the time and brain power to focus on one game at a time. So a while ago it was KI, before that it was Skullgirls, now it’s SFV. I simply don’t have the mental faculties to juggle multiple games simultaneously, so I’ll play one until I feel it’s time to go on to the next one.

Hell, it’s not even just recent games. ST/A3/3S are probably all more active than Skullgirls at this point thanks to Fightcade (I’ve never seen them with empty lobbies, at least).
After playing online for so many months, here are the characters I struggle against the most:
- Chun-Li
- Dhalsim
- Zangief
- Birdie
- Balrog
- Vega
- Laura
- FANG
And partially Ryu if I meet a very aggressive player

Is it okay to rage quit a grand finals against Ken? Sure… Wait that fool played Chun.
Your post sounds extra dumb. Vanilla was flawed. DLC gems weren’t as bad as people made out, and they didn’t matter offline where the game SHOULD be played. Regarding timer scams, I’ll quote @Veserius go to training mode.

He’s washed up now.

Throw fireballs. Seriously. Gief struggles with getting in against Ryu since his jump and dash are ass. He will try to put you in the corner. Just air tatsu over him if you get too close. St. HP doesn’t have lower body armor and is vulnerable to sweeps or cr. MK. Bear grab has enough start-up that you can condition yourself to jump it on reaction if he tries any st. LK into bear grab shenanigans. His jumping attacks all lose out to your AAs and his jump arc is ass. Just look out for super and V-Trigger, and keep in mind V-Trigger will lose to pretty much any attack ever that isn’t a projectile, including jump-ins. Don’t ever jump in on him, because that opens you up to a flex SPD, air SPD or CC HP and he will fuck with you if he gets a knockdown.
And if he tries that knee into command grab bullshit, just remember he’s negative on block and will get fucked by neutral jumps or jabs.
I’ve been trying to get back into SF5 but damn that shit is boring and just feels kinda sloppy…its also very hard to look at as the graphics or artstyle or whatever are ass. I think I’d maybe have an easier time getting into it if I actually had a character in the game I liked. Rashid has piqued my interest a bit but he feels like he’s missing something, right now he’s kind of like pixie light. He kind of sums up what I think about the game and how Capcom has approached it: a cool idea with some potential, but afraid to take any risk and therefore ending up a bit bland and one dimensional. I’d like to see them throw caution to the wind a bit more in S2, even if that means having a few one-sided match ups
