Because they have DPs thats a bad idea right? So why give them light AAs? Also I used to play Chun but she does not fucking need it. She has air throw and back RH and EX bird.

I think the hate comes from those who don’t have a good aa jab.

Take birdie’s cross up flop thingy he does. Ryu can just s.jab it every single time and never has to block it. Even when he’s right on your head already, there’s still enough time to s.jab it with Ryu.

You shouldn’t really be in a good position if you’re making the wrong call.

When your V Skill is designed to get over fireballs and Ryu is chucking plasma, you don’t have many other options. Using your own fireball to cancel out his only works for so long. Necalli isn’t too big of a problem, but it’s really annoying with Ryu. This is just my experience though.

they implement a system where you get punished hard when you try to do the same on the ground seems very inconsequent.

the reward to risk ratio…well it has no risk at all…its just stupid.

so i asume there is no other game which has this kind of thing…expected it.

As Ken I love people who only use AA Jabs. Because I barely get punished for jumping and the one time I succeed I make up all the damage.

You have to make people pay on the mix up to make AA jabs scary.

Oh Ryu isn’t an issue as my boy Rashid. Ibuki and Chun have recently been demoted to my subs. And if I ever run into Ryu when using Chun, I know I lost. Chun’s V-Skill is an 11 frame jump with a big trail behind her and a conspicuous yell, and it’s one of her few anti projectile tools. The other is cr.mp, which needs good timing and is shut down by using different strengths of hadoken. Don’t take my complaints too serious dude. I suck at this game lol.

People really want to jump to try and take advantage of what they consider weaker players. In the past if you thought someone was a scrub, you could jump and just start your offense. Jab anti air takes that advantage away.

Personally i want every character to have good AAs. There should also be more non cross up air buttons that beat jabs specifically tho.

Alex is an example where it does not work for Bison. Alex out-ranges Bison on the ground and one AA jab can lead to the end of a round.

When your character can completely stop the aerial game of Bison with a simple jab or light kick it really kills what little mobility Bison possesses since his dash is complete ass.

Maybe Bison should have his jab buffed to be a 3-frame jab that has a hitbox that extends above his head.

I think people hate jab AAs because they can beat cross ups sometimes. Anything that can beat a crossup is ok in my book.

Sounds like it’s not Alex who needs to be changed but Bison who needs to be buffed.

I don’t think her V-Skill was designed to be anti-projectile, she already has cr. MP and her own projectile for that. It’s more like a tool to get a jump-in while not losing the charge.

I alternate between Makoto and Kokonoe. I haven’t had enough time with Blazblue to settle on a main yet; Makoto just seemed the easiest to learn the game with.
