with ryu you can practice 2 setups in training. first is double dash, cr.mp, cr.mp after ex fireball. if your meaty timing is correct, cr.mp will combo into 2nd cr.mp
second setup is a bit more complicated: after forward throw you make a small ass fucking step, just tap this shit, i don’t know if you are using stick or pad. then you press st.mp, cr. hk. if you did it properly, st.mp combos into cr.hk
We took a 16er to final round with us and he was freaking out seeing all the “celebrities”, it was pretty funny.
At one point he was like “I haven’t seen my favorite player knuckledu at all” and I’m like he’s right here dude, because I was literally sitting between him and knuckledu chatting about our match. the kids jaw hit the floor.
Just because it hasn’t happened before doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Everything has to happen for a first time before it trends. Ultra was the semi sequel to like 4 other SFIV games and kept growing in numbers. If anything the trend lately is showing that once a game catches something it goes up.
Everything was already in place to have a lower turnout at Evo with how shitty the launch was. If numbers weren’t going to grow from here we would have seen something already. Capcom has proved they can create a disaster situation and people are still thirsty any way. They’re only going to be more thirsty when things are more polished and the content grows two fold or more by next Evo.
The scrubs will be hungry to place 2 spots higher than last year and the pros will want the CPT ESPN spotlight again.
That’s bizarre, I had to download the 1.05 update (2 Go) on the PS4 menu and then, the 1.07 on the SFV main screen. But now, I’m ready, 6 hours to wait (2 Am, again, can’t Capcom think about europe ?)
Speaking of SFV at EVO next year, I wonder if EVO Japan will cut into Asian players making the trip to Vegas. I also wonder how many American players will head to Japan for that.
