I’ve had two main weird experiences in DoA5 that stand out because both times we were communicating through mics which makes things just that little bit more real, haha. One of those experiences i have already explained before in another thread regarding the guy that wanted me to low grab him with Tina because he enjoyed it. Now I will explain the other experience which involved a Leon player that requested me to stomp & kick him while he was on the ground. I am guessing he had a thing for women kicking prone old men or something. Look, if that’s what you’re into then fine, i won’t judge people on what they enjoy but when it becomes a constant request & it get’s in the way of a good gaming session it starts getting abit much. I can remember this vividly because it was through the mic, it went a little something like this.

In the lobby

Me: “Goodluck man, may the best fighter win”

Tyuzen11: “Which female character has a good stomp move?”

Me: “Lei Fang is pretty good but Rachel would be the one you’re after mate, she really digs that heel in. Why?”

[details=Spoiler]I was fighting some girl in DOA 1v1 lobby, me and her started going back and forth and it was pretty enjoyable. She was pretty fun to listen to on the mic too and she had a good playstyle. Like 10 games later I’m guessing her family memeber came to her and said ‘‘There doing it again’’ and she said ‘‘Not again!’’ and she left right? So im just fucking around in the match doing Ryu’s taunts and then I hear the most disgusting thing I ever heard in my whole entire life.
’‘Baby we still old but we got it…’’ ‘‘Gimmie some of your old sugar’’ ‘‘You got the grip of a man who took a nap’’ and some weird sounds and static. Then I heard a scream and the girl who I played with said ‘‘Grandma and Grandpa stop DOING it in my room!’’ (Worst part is I think they sneaked there way into her room after she left) and im like:

There is no way this game is reaching 2 million without a proper relaunch, S1 bundle or whatever Capcom is planning to do. Even counting with digital sales and discounts at the end of the year, that just is not gonna happen. Retail prices are still pretty low, which shows that there is no demand for SFV (1.4kk is just shipped, not sold). Everywhere I look at I see that this game is still perceived as an unfinished product, story mode didn’t do much to change this perception. If anything, the recent DLC flood is damaging even more SFV image, exposing how devalued the season pass is and the impression that Capcom is putting more effort on making cosmetic DLC than fixing issues in the game (by the way, where is that post Haunts promised two weeks ago or so clearing up all these questions?).

Only a new, more robust and heavily marketed version can get customers back at this point. And a F2P version. If the idea is making money off of DLC, just don’t ask 60 bucks upfront.

She looks pretty good. Only other character than Chun with 3 frame low and one of the only other characters in the game with a meterless upper body invincible AA (MK Senpusha). In a game where AAing can be difficult that’s a big help.

Bison doesn’t have a lot of strong frame traps vs 3 frame buttons so Juri will be able to do enough vs his rushdown. She also has an EX reversal. I hear her V Reversal isn’t amazing, but I’m sure it functions and I hear it’s pretty safe on block at only minus 2 (most I believe are minus 4 or worse). Plus her pressure once she’s stored up or in V Trigger will be a nightmare for Bison. She’ll most likely be another character that goes even with or beats him.

Hopefully one day there’s a permanent fix for the RQ’s. I don’t run into them much lately either way. Seems to be the silvers and golds that get more salty. Plats and up usually hold their L’s.

Assuming the gear system isn’t complete ass I will play the hell out of Injustice 2 for the 6-10 months that it’s alive. I will also continue to make assorted sacrifices (weaboos, waifus, dakimakuras, etc.) to the dark gods in the hope that we get a PS4 or, ideally, PC release for Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st]. I will also, of course continue playing SFV until such time as I lose interest in the game (see also: my main gets nerfed into the ground and I can’t find another character I feel like investing time in).

I don’t feel bad for haunts. before his capcom gig he was a bad commentator, and also he could not figure out audio on stream. He streamed for something like 3-4 years and he could not figure out commentator sound levels vs. game sound levels. Every time he was streaming it was a crapshoot if you could hear one or the other if he had to switch games, or if one was just a crackly mess. Comparing this to Spooky at the time who would do test streams for every new game, working out the audio levels, and video settings to make games look good depending on how good the venue internet was, and it just came off that Haunts was just fumbling along.

I would say that I hope that Capcom fixes this as well but that I’m not especially hopeful that they actually will. I had someone quit on me (or conveniently disconnect the moment the killing blow landed) who, when queried, said that it was raining where they were and that it was messing with their wi-fi. Their mother fucking wi-fi! I politely explained to this person that there’s a special circle in hell reserved for those who play fighting games over wi-fi. I think it’s between the sixth and seventh circles though it may be a sub-circle of the eighth. I don’t exactly recall.
