Keep complaining and all the normal Ibuki colors will be unlocked with Hell survival mode only. In the meantime, you have to play the Ibuki with greenish yellow pants and a navy blue shirt with brown polka dots.
At least he called. My pops called me to say he was gonna pick me up to go see a movie for Christmas vacation back in 97.
I didn’t hear back until 4 years ago. I’m not black either.
Pretty much agree with Ken and Nec in the top but I would add Ryu, Nash and Karin. Meterless damage is the key and all this fools got it in bundles. I think Nec ability to CC from pretty much any defensive position helps as well.
It gets muddied for me though when I try to rank all the characters after that though. I can tell you the worst are Gief and FANG, everyone else is slightly better ore a lot better but not as good as the top tiers.
I’m honestly baffled that people continue to have Birdie so high (yes ~B/mid tier is too high for him). He’s like bottom 5. As “godlike” as cr. mp is, he literally can’t use it if you jump while he’s trying to establish his “godlike” mid-range game (like sticking out st. mk/cr. mk). If he ever loses the life lead, it’s super hard to establish momentum with him because surprise almost everything cancelled into V Trigger is like -50, he can’t hit confirm you unless he’s right in your face, and he has frame disadvantage on pretty much every knockdown. Probably S+ tier against trash players and online though. Not saying that Birdie is completely non-viable or that he loses to the entire cast, but he continually is absent from Top 16s of most majors and the best Birdie players also play someone else or don’t win.
All jokes aside I actually got hit in real life. I didn’t think I would survive. Somebody just straight pulled up and banged on me. I was hit 4 times. That shit burns like a motherfucker.
Whenever I hear a competitor use the term “honest” to describe a character I immediately deem them an asshole and refuse to speak to/play against said person.
Eh, I don’t really care. We know Ibuki isn’t dropping til end of the month. Already got our trailer and screenshots. Don’t care about anything else relating to her now unless she was changed or something.
I’m excited for the story, but I can wait. Don’t really care for info.
It isn’t. It’s used by scrub lords and non-competitors to describe a character who isn’t top tier, something no character should aspire to be apparently.
It’s a ridiculous concept. Fighting games–or competitive games of any nature, really–are known to at times contain some stratagem or character known to be highly successful with little risk and easy to use. When competing against others, why is it looked down upon when they use these obviously great strategies/characters? Because it makes their favorite thing to do or character unplayable? Tough titties. This isn’t a “who likes this thing the most” tournament, it’s a competition. You play to win.
I came from Marvel 2 and believe me there were characters I liked a lot more than the top tiers, but I was there to win not to show people how awesome I think Spider-Man is when teamed up with Silver Samurai. So this concept of “honesty” in fighting games is foreign to me and against the spirit of this very site.
Shit like that shouldn’t be supported. It should be snuffed out.
This happened a few years ago when I lived in the city (Baltimore). Baltimore has many different sub neighborhoods. I’m from Garrison and some niggas I used to hang with (they still fuck with me the long way) had beef with some North Avenue niggas. I was never deep into that street shit but I got hit on some “guilty by association” type shit. It’s like “oh that nigga hang with so and so (NO NAMES!). We bout to light his ass up”. Yes, something that simple can mean the end of your life if you’re not careful.
I’m glad I live in the suburbs now. It is MUCH MUCH safer. I ain’t no “real nigga” I don’t be in the field. I just had some real shit happen to me because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
S’why I like to poke fun at it. “Honest” is pretty much just the reverse of “Cheap,” used in a similar context but on the opposite side of the spectrum.
The word as it’s used currently doesn’t describe that. Maybe that was it’s old definition, but it’s not really used to describe a character that isn’t top tier.
You can be a mid or lower tier and still be dishonest. It’s more just about how “straight up” the character fights. If the character is mostly using neutral or footsies to open you up, they are considered honest. Characters that rely heavily on mix ups with relative safety or doing things that are at the brink of human reaction constantly to open you up are considered more dishonest.
