Does anybody here still play MKX?
Whelp, better start packing gear for raiding Capcom HQ
SFV makes me bipolar. I’m trustful once Capcom still has time to change both Laura and Ibuki English voices before the story mode drops out. =)
But I remember they even didn’t fix the rage quit punishment. :s

Really y’all? Who cares why Jean Grey is fighting Ryu. The fact that it’s even a thing is cool enough lol
The short answer is yes, people do care. The sales of Injustice, MK9 and MKX show that they care. To be honest the majority of people don’t care if the actually fighting is of good quality as much as having multiple things they can do aside of playing it with other people. Unfortunately that’s the core problem with fighting games: they’re a multiplayer game you play against one person.
Games with multiple people playing simultaneously are way more popular. Even in M:TG (a card game) people playing in groups is far more popular than playing against one opponent even though competitive play as a lot of support.
In a weird way, fighting games need to come with multiple modes so people feel they bought a game. They really need story mode so they can go through the motions of pretending the thing is a game in a way that is familiar to them. M:TG has a similar thing going on where the more they involve people in the story, the more they sell. Never mind that one of the current expansions out is was hot ass, people were all into it because they were there for the shitty story.
You’d be surprised the amount of weird psychological things game developers do to make you feel good. People always wanna feel good regardless of how much sense it makes financial or otherwise. Truth be told odds are incredibly good that a lot of the extra modes in games don’t get used for shit. But having extra stuff feels good so you feel better about your purchase. If I’m in charge of SF6, I would make it a point to add things that would make people feel good about buying it. Game would sell like hotcakes too because it’d have a bunch of stupid shit that has nothing to do playing another person you could do.
Remember Ergheiz? The Squaresoft fighting game with FF7 characters? Wanna know what it’s best remembered for? The single player campaign thing it had in the PSX version.
TL;DR: Add random modes so people can feel good because the majority of people who buy fighting games don’t wanna play with another person in case they lose and feel bad.
Do you actually play MTG? FFA, or THG for that matter, are extremely popular modes because of the meta in deck building and the social aspect. Don’t compare a SP mode to a MP mode in a game that has alot of social interaction. Also, don’t try using MTG which has for years had more popular FFA/Co-op modes Vs the typical 1v1.
While on the subject, your tl;dr is completely off. Not everyone wants to play online 24/7. Not wanting to do the same thing for hours isn’t the same as avoiding it for SP content. What about in cases where all you have is the SP content? I have more shit that I can do on SF3OE than SFV and their both fighting games.
Exit: sorry twin, but editing out what I was gonna say is too much of a pain in the dick. Just know that I wanna do something to you and you’ll never know what it is.

WIth Ibuki and Alex looking this way it makes me think Urien is going to have ugly ass costumes(no original) as well and probably have a fucked up face.
Urien’s costume is a fucking speedo. Forever and always. If they ever change that I’m have to release the real T-virus on Capcom HQ.
They’d fight back the T-Virus within 3 seconds.

I guess nobody here plays MKX.

On the note of story alone, anyone can see its not the best implementation of story mode. Just as the standard for what it could/should be.
Yeah, that’s what I said…
As for bugs and unrelated shit. You can knock NRS for their lack of PC support, but can’t act like SFV has been a flawless experience the past month or so. If you try and tell me that SFV had a great launch week i’ll personally kick you in the dick
I never said SFV was flawless, just that MKX’s PC port was ludicrous.
I’m a PC gamer that has witnessed launches and development of Battlefield 2, Battlefield 4, multiple Total War titles, Diablo 3 and Arkham Knight, early access of DayZ and multiple other titles that were all extremely bad and tons of worse than SFV’s launch. And yeah, on PC.
So fuck you and fuck your blind attitude, especially since you are comparing MKX PC version to SFV.

Does anybody here still play MKX?
Occasionally. But only local couch shit with the wife. She like to mash with Kitana.
I’ve done a challenge tower here or there for lol’s.
One thing that got right was the fools laughing at the loser in Karin’s stage. Lol

Yo, CFN: SouthWillRise… you here?
… cause u a scrubby bitch.
Did you just ask if someone named SouthWillRise is on SRK?

Eat a dick? Really? I can just imagine you sitting there with spongebob in the background thinking of the next racist thing to say. Spewing N-words and C-words as if you’re a beaver who can’t help its addiction to swimming, terrible. What’s the next thing, eh? Finally taking a step outside of your cherrywood mansion and spitting upon the people who actually build your tiny world for you? I bet it makes you sad to see that black people like LordWilliam, Twinblades, and I actually have a voice in this country.

I’m not comparing SFV to MKX. I’m saying that if you knock MKX on PC for being shitty (I know the game bombed with crashing and just being generally unplayable) and are using SFV as basis for a comparison that it’s pretty ironic. GG or USFIV on PC would’ve been far better examples. SFV launched with basically no online for the first couple of days, then no BL, and after that we known the story by now.
The difference is the support between Capcom and NRS. However, in regards to launch they were both shitty. MKX just stayed shitty until NRS finally pulled the plug right when they added GGPO netcode. MKX was bad, SFV was bad. MKX i’ll agree was far worse though just that SFV is not the example you wanna use.
CFN: Game_Heure. … RQ in casuals man? Rilly?

I guess nobody here plays MKX.
I fucking hate MKX I press buttons and it doesn’t feel like I’m actually controlling the movement of my character.
Also I hate how every character has the same shit stance.
And the lack of color is eye bleeding.
But hey I guess all you need is le epic story mode for dat 5 milly

Pretty much. I can’t play that shit online even with the improved netcode. It still feels like you are playing underwater 70 percent of the time. Finished the story mode a few days after release… haven’t clicked on that mode again.
