Yeah, I could do at my house because my dad had wired the Video player to show on other televisions ( like if he put a tape on downstairs, I could watch it upstairs - and also record it on another tape). I was more meaning, how do you find someone that pirates movies in 1990, there was no internet, no E-mail, must have just been some mate who knew a mate stuff lol.
To be fair this game is pretty messed up connection wise anyway. I’ll play with my friend half an hour away, it will show 5 bars in the lobby, then 30% of the time we’ll connect to the server in game and it’ll go down to one bar and be laggy as hell, the rest is perfect if we just go back into lobby and restart the set.
Most gatlings (chain combos in Guilty Gear) naturally progress in that order too from P-> K-> S-> HS and then crouching dust is usually a sweep that you can chain into. There are character specific gatlings though, so knowing your character’s variations will become key, but it’s generally set up so that you can pick up the game easy starting with the P -> K -> S -> etc.
Yeah honestly Vega gets far more respect at the moment than he should. Once opponents figure out his tricks and illusions he’ll register closer to the lower end characters in the game.
Vega does good damage, good corner carry, can zone with walkspeed and normals, 3F normal, command grab, great VT, and easy confirms into super. I don’t know how he can be any worse than half of the games characters tbh. I specifically picked him up so I can play lame and yet still be using a good character.
@Trife88 My bad, I ended up having to do a bunch of shit yesterday right before you invited me. We can try again today if you want.
I agree. Vega has too many solid things that other characters that have to rely more on setups and gimmicks don’t. You can’t have all of the basic tools that he has and be worse than mid tier ever pretty much. His bnb/confirm range is pretty solid for a footsie character and being able to walk up to you with a command grab with his walk speed makes his close game always dangerous.
I think they do realize it but the risk vs reward on trying to challenge him is a bit scary when you think about it. That is unless you are almost frame perfect on your punish which in the heat of battle tends to not be the case. I lost count how many times i have seen Kens whiff st.MK and then immediately do B.MP or LK tatsu or stupid stuff like that and it works for some reason.
That is not to mention the DP that would beat anything you do if you are trying to challenge. Ken can really mind fuck his opponent.
That’s what Combofiend explained about Ken. He can put you in these situations where he is negative, but only negative enough to lose his turn. Which allows him to still challenge your turn with a DP.
