Fuck, just found out registration closed at midnight tonight, but luckily Jebailey told me it was still running to the morning. I forgot these tourneys close up registrations quick. They said they have 2900 people registered across all games. That’s fucking insane. We’re probably looking at 12 to 1400 players for SFV like Final Round again. Luckily Jebailey is supposed to be the King of Tournaments so it should work out.

One of things that I noticed is that you don’t block as much as you should. Cammy isn’t safe on everything but because she has a DP it makes people afraid to challenge her.

For instance her v-skill spin knuckle can be easily jabbed out of. Mash it if you have to.

I’m a sucker for DP’s and when I’m in desperate situation I’ll use it like a dumbass. When you have me in the corner with those mix ups and the juggle stops block on my wake up.

Yeah cammy is a tough one for mika, I kept trying to challenge things Im pretty sure was safe from cammy. Mika’s buttons are not good enough to challenge cammy as much as I like.
BTW isn’t dive kick less safe when blocked standing. I swear I remember hearing that somewhere

Cammy is actually plus on her dive kick. The only thing that can beat them is a grab (which Cammy can still tech) and a command through.

You were getting it when you kept doing the EX commands throws on my dive kicks.

But beware… I can still bait you with the light dive kick…I’m not gonna make it that easy

For example, I’m having a lot of trouble with Cammy because I try to anti-air her divekicks and get stuffed out. It feels like every Cammy is like a guaranteed loss right now, especially if they pick up early on that I don’t know what to do about divekicks. I play Chun and I generally have good anti-airs but LK seems to trade unfavorably/lose to divekick unless I get it very very early.

Cammy is also my personal bad match although I think doing an analysis of the match up she probably beats Ryu.

I totally get the AA, it’s like the dive kick hit box just teleports in front of your face.

I’d say I’m about a Silver in terms of skill (which may just be me inflating my own ego since I’m more or less Ultra Bronze 4 lyfe), but I will lose to a Mika regardless of rank. There’s something about those relentless mix-ups that just causes me to break down. Then again, I tend to have trouble with Gief players who know how to get in on FANG as well, so maybe it’s just me being bad at dealing with grapplers.

The last Cammy I played a set in I just tried to mix it up with different things. You’re only going to get so much out of your AA game if you’re just relying on s.LK all the time. s.LK doesn’t really do any damage, doesn’t have much active frames (I’ve had Ryu jump in front of me, slightly end up whiffing it and then get full comboed) and you’re pretty much forced to dash in after and mix up to get any relevant damage off of it. The hit box is good for it, but it’s not like people are going to stop jumping off one s.LK.

I always try to throw out some preemptive s.HK’s if I feel they’re abusing the dives. Can catch them early, has much better range than s.LK and you’ll land a crush counter for juggle opportunity and V Gauge build if you catch them on counter hit. I’ve also air grabbed Cammy out of dive kick from a pretty far range and neutral jump HK is another good preemptive tool.

Some Japanese players are PISSED because of the Zenny money change, they were given Zenny coupons with the special edition of the game and Capcom is only willing to trade those for fight money so they cant buy premium costumes and stuff…
