Them getting rid of zenny trash is a really good move

Honestly getting rid of Zenny means nothing for anyone, and I don’t know why people have any feeling at all about it. It was just another in-game currency. The only advantage to having another in-game currency is limiting the amount of it you can earn in-game vs. how much you pay for it. So essentially this is Capcom saying “fuck it, people need to pay full price for the DLC, no extra rewards, we need to be making money NOW.”

And you’re happy with this, so I guess that’s good.

So, I guess for a little context, know that I was the one who green lit Street Fighter being a part of the Bud Light All-Stars program and suggested the players they should work with on it. I talk with AB on a somewhat regular basis in terms of what their goals are in the esports space as well. They have some really cool people there that we’re learning a lot from and who have some really great ideas on how they can support in the future.
We’re looking at how pro sports handle this stuff as well, and from what I’ve seen a lot of these brands typically buy media (ad space) rather than sponsor teams/players though there are exceptions. A lot to consider as we move forward, no doubt about it.
In short, we’re talking with these brands assuring them we arent closing the door and want to keep the conversation going in terms of how they would integrate into this space.
For player sponsorships, it’s a tough decision to make and honestly the community wasnt wrong saying it’s a bit hypocritical to ban some adult product sponsors but allow others. A lot of it comes down to being fair to the players. We dont want to get into a situation where we’re playing favorites and saying “Oh yeah we’ll promote this players sponsor, but not this other player’s sponsor”.
Hope all that makes sense, and we want to keep talking about this as things move along. Thanks for the feedback.

What a nice surprise, Capcom learning to communicate. Happy to see story mode looks like it’s going to at least be rousing (or destroying) people’s anticipation for the rest of the DLC cast. I’m nervous of the Urien’s gameplay, but I am still excited to see it.

Getting rid of Zenny means Capcom scrapped trying to make their own stupid ass currency and will do it the way it should’ve been done. Sell that shit in bundles on the store like it was suppose to be done. Jesus niggas.
