Is this game an MMO?

Phantasy Star Online. Came out in the early 2000s I believe. Put in a ton of hours playing with friends. Monster Hunter World is the closest thing I can play that resembles it so I gotta day 1 purchase.

This game music soundtrack kicks you in the balls with nostalgia if you played this game in it’s heyday, and even if you never even heard of it, the music is sooooo good. What I left there was just a tip of the iceberg, but here’s a great hype boss track:
