Sorry man, I’m done for right now. I need to clean up my inputs a bit in Training.
I also do use the Discord, but haven’t been on it in the last few days (haven’t really been interested in matches until today).
Naw he can smoke all he wants…
Promoting discord tho
Sorry, I should have tagged you, and I’m done for right now, but @stormdetonation may be up for some matches. The connection was actually pretty good with him.
@stormdetonation I’m up for running some sets if you’re still looking for games after smoke break.
Edit: No worries man. I’ve been lost in the training vortex so I didn’t poke around on the forums like I usually do so I am coming in all late and wrong.
Damn Yorkey now I got more respect for your opinions.
Why you do this
No need to lie… my Juri is shit… I’m way to marshy up close and jump happy in general.
As for your play, I know a lot was the stick (I went berserk when you did that instant air j.hk as chin, partly because I knew you wanted ex.sbk and partly because I’m still salty Juri lost her nj.hk and chin kept hers) but yeah don’t take so much shit when you’re on the back foot. Also, you only use throw when I have the advantage or after an air fb… mix your pressure up a bit and you’ll land more of those meaty c.hps.
Sure shoot me an inv… I’m rusty af tho.

It’s the Biweekly Discord. The exception that proves the rule that all Discords are evil and should be cleansed from the internet.
Sent. And don’t worry about rust. I’m still shaky myself and bouncing between practing different chars.
Yea comparatively speaking his vtrigger is terrible. I think he’s fighting fang for worst triggers in the game. Needs 2 roses for sure at minimum.

GGs stormdetonation! Sorry I had to skip, near the end I was just mashing way too much, particularly on the joystick, which is pretty much the opposite of what I want to do now. It was fun though, and I started doing better than I was expecting to, so that’s good.
Also, you’re right about the wake-up SRK’s. I haven’t really worked on those in Training yet and I can’t seem to get the timing down with the stick.
Your Juri is real strong through! GGs for sure.

I definitely chicken out way too much when I’m being pressured, I also just mash shit and lose any sort of competence I have.
One funny thing about the stick is I somehow lost the knowledge of how long to charge moves for. I don’t know why that it is, but I seem to be under-charging everything, even in Training.
And thanks for tips. I definitely do need to mix up my pressure more, so I’ll work on that. Thanks!

I suppose that is the case for many people here. Lonely guys that feel like misfits and don’t have many friends irl. Competitive gaming itself doesn’t help either since it brings a false sense of achievement, which can be pretty dangerous. It might make you ignore important aspects of life and actual achievements (because yeah, unless you actually make money with fgs, your rank means shit).
The only one holding you back is probably yourself. Should really reach out and engage to other people. Go out, practice some sport/gym, call that old friend from high school or college that you haven’t seen in a while. And most importantly, be more helpful to the others. There are nice people everywhere, it’s up to you to set up an opportunity to meet them.
It’s not easy to adjust your lifestyle, I know it by my own experience. However, refuse to realize your life is shitty or simply do nothing about it are the worse things you can do.
Happy New Year SRK fellows!

That’s one topic I wanted to bring.
I guess my difficulties with improving is because almost everytime I play, is to blow off steam. I either go in with salt in my veins, or I get salty at the game and everything else increases my salt level.
Next year I decided to hit the gym because I’m finally having health issues for being a fat fuck, and I plan on moving out by august if I get a raise. I won’t play the game to supress negative feelings. I’ll only play if I’m feeling good.
Just wanted to touch on this, you’re not alone man.
I have a wife, but I don’t really have any real-life friends (left them years ago) and I don’t really talk to my wife about any of my hobbies (video games, music, etc), so I come here to shoot the shit, and talk shop. I honestly view a lot of you as friends in some capacity.
Fuck, with the amount of games me and @GetTheTables have played and the discussions we’ve had in PM’s, the dude’s basically my best friend right now, lol. I could easily list 10 or so others here as well (but won’t because I don’t want anyone to feel left out, and I’m sure a few of them know who they are anyway).
Anyways, I think a lot of us (but not all of us) are here not just to learn to be better SFV players, but to shoot the shit and be friendly with one another.
BTW, I’m stuck at Ultra Bronze. I also have no fucking clue what I’m talking about. I just try to throw a little humour out there once in a while so I’m not such a complete waste of space.

One thing that helped me was play a Ranked FT2 and then stop, whether you win or lose, and watch the whole set. Make notes of what you did well, and what you can improve on. Then go into Training and work on what needs work.
When you head into your next match, you’ll be a lot more confident and calmer. You’ll also notice you improve a lot quicker.
It also instantly changed my mentality instantly. I also mostly played the game as a stress relief, but it really didn’t help. Keeping calm and knowing you’re getting better is a lot better for your stress.
