@javert @LordWilliam1234
Why are you guys against the discord trash talk during stream?
We don’t have to if some people here think it’s a really bad idea

Beat a Super Diamond Juri and he ran it back and didn’t rage quit.

I guess Juri players are the only ones with any honor left.

I hate streams and I hate trash talking mid-match.

Nothing else to it.

You can do what you want, not like I’ll be participating.

Why will acting like he’s gonna cut himself a Nash main?

Of course Juri players are the only ones with honor left, the one’s who have played her for 2 seasons despite her " being bottom tier " are angels among men. Now they will reap the rewards come season 3 when she’s buffed.

He’s a Laura player,probably Juri is his second.

Actually I’d be happy to have a good match with that sort of rando…assuming that they pay for my airfare and hotel accommodations so that I can travel to wherever the fuck they live.

there are no nash mains left…

@itzpookiie

I’m in. Want me to unplug the ethernet cable to make it more fun?

@itzpookiie when exactly is tonight? like compared to now

Dude… he uses it a lot. In those matches specifically he used like I said he did… at the beginning of rounds to check his opponents spacing… although he wasn’t using the max range v skill here. He doesn’t want to abuse it against Urien for obvious reasons, but watch some of his games versus characters with weaker pokes and you will see him using it a good amount ESPECIALLY in the beginning of a round.

Anywho, this is a better set of matches to see the abuse of the button. They both use it to setup spacing, but it isn’t the meat. It’s just the setup. Once the game goes from neutral into more aggressive pressure then they use the buttons you are talking about, but the st.mk is usually first to get the ball rolling and establish spacing:

You really need only watch the first round.

Yeah Karin can use s.MK vs herself a lot because it outranges a lot of her own buttons, but that’s also the mirror where Karin isn’t going to be doing anything wild like jumping or air movement or doing a flying special move.

In matches like vs Birdie and Urien, there isn’t much reason to throw s.MK around a lot because they outrange it with stuff that’s more damaging and they have flying moves that can catch you whiffing it and then you’re in trouble. Vs characters that are purely trying to play ground game like Cammy it’s probably worth using, but past that I’m not seeing it much vs the more explosive characters.

Which either way gets to the point where the minus 4 won’t mean much as even in the Punk vs Mago video, they’re using it from a range where minus 4 would not make a huge difference.

He uses the st.mk a lot versus characters that can’t handle the st.mk. Basically, characters that have stubby normals. He uses it a good amount versus smug and idom as an example. It’s a pretty important button. It’s Karin’s version of chuns fmp, but Karin has even better buttons to go to whereas all Chun really has is st.hp and cr.mk.

Yeah its’ a button where it has its matchups to use it in, but vs what is top tier or winning tournaments lately in this game there really isn’t much need to use it much as everything else can also poke or whiff punish and lead to much more damage. Basically the nerf doesn’t do anything for the matches its useful in and there’s becoming more matchups where it’s not worth pressing much any way.

Chun is too honest. Hopefully VT2 fixes everything.

8pm or 9pm central but I can do earlier if we can fill the spots earlier
7pm central the earliest

Saw the movie Atomic Blonde last night. Really nice fight/action scenes. And Girlpower, I can recommend it.

Charlize Theron is still hot!

I’m in. Good time. No interruptions (or sleeping)

@itzpookiie is like 8-10 hours from now can I enter as a sub? I’ll try to make it but I cannot guarantee what my wife will be requesting tomorrow

Good to know. That is on my list.

Anti-recommendation: The Dark Tower was fucking shit. As a fan of the books it was insultingly bad but even if you haven’t read the books it’s a really weak movie. Which sucks because Idris Elba was a fascinating Roland choice (and is awesome in general) and McConaughey seemed like a cool pick for Walter.

I’d have rather spent that time fighting Mexican Alexes online.

That bad huh?

I’m thinking about it and I might not even do round robin
We’all probably do random pick lobby for like 15-30 min then go back to regular matches
We’all see how the random pick goes at first
