Remember if you can’t properly anti air kolin’s j.hk, then its best to hold it or air to air her.

Forgot names so ill go by played char.
Karin:(quinxotic…)
Connection felt bit sloppy but playable.
You really need to punish my command dashes they are fake, if not ill keep doing them.
Watch out for autopilot combo ing i was catching you with v-skill alot which is what i want.
if i do a command jump do a late jump air to air normal, dont try use standing aa normal its risky.
be bit carefull withex dp usage
For rest solid with good combos and good dashup low(im weak to dashes note for myself)
good usage of sweep very goid vs ibuki.
Fang(moramora)
got my first Fang exp in 3 months? so im happy, cause im going to a tournament and there is a pro fang player there.
I kept trying to aa the jumpin with st hk which was a bad idea, found out later that cr hp beats it.
There was a certain timng to when you would jump, later on you mixed that up.
I abuse the shit out of command dash if you dont punish me for it, which you did at later stage so thats good.
For rest didnt have much of a clue of what to do.
i learned hard way he has + on some normals.
also now I think of it the games with twinblades I played were 100% fine and I am in Ontario and he’s in whatever hellscape of a town in the west coast he’s in.
So get off his back with the wifi jokes!!!
Ran into Goldencen tonight. Yo, his Sim is on a whole other level. I really, really gotta learn that MU. He spaced those drills perfectly, and getting in on him was mad hard. I really didn’t jump all that much, but I still could barely find an opening. Even though I was thoroughly outclassed, I feel good playing against a great player like that. I have so much to learn and I’m eager to continue my improvement. So many solid players out in the world and I’m just happy to fight them all.

Free falling points in ranked. This shit is the worst.
It really shows me how cheap and brain dead Akuma is. You never have to play footies with him ever. Like ever.
I dont wanna have to buy akuma to grind that matchup.

I just played too long.
I was beating everyone with ease hours ago, only 500 points away from platinum. Then suddenly I’m missing confirms that were easy and losing narrowly over and over.
Instead of thinking what my opponent was weak to and exploiting it like earlier I would get more mad. No more late playing for me.
I have to know when to call it before my brain slows down.

Sounds like you and I share the same weakness in this game. My wakeup game with 'Gief is just pathetic.
And I was playing even worse than normal on casual and ranked matches yesterday. Being tipsy didn’t help at all!
If you guys get on some games tonight, I will try to join in to give people free wins.
I need to improve a lot to actually consider myself just bad at this game.
You either wakeup with a delayed throw tech (to defend meaties and throws) or you don’t, that’s about 90 percent of defense there. Usually best to just take a throw, and deal with it psychologically
If you expect a throw/shimmy mixup when you’re knocked down as gief, wakeup ex spd is a strong option since it shuts down 2 out of 3 of the most common oki options, you can also jump (forward) or backdash
I hate playing vs. Kolin as Chun. V-Skill makes me question everything I want to do and it’s hard to get a big punish if Kolin spaces it correctly (which most of them do).
I don’t play Abigail but the fact that his hurtbox messes up her hail set-ups and his damage output should make this matchup easier to deal with.
I ain’t no expert as I have only played kolin now twice in my life, and coming back off a 6 month hiatus but my abigail is much better than my chun(I was not joking in saying this was the first time I played chun in over a year), and I wound up doing worlds better with chun than Abigail so :i_dunno:
The fact too I could barely deal with that j.hk also was very annoying. Abigail the idea is very deep jumps you deal with vskill, further out is st.lp/cr.lp but she could stuff it from distances other characters just simply cannot. Chun at least I can do reaction j.mp->legs and not worry about a grounded anti air.
That’s the starter edition with a significantly longer grind to unlock operators. I would just pick the standard edition; if you play regularly and do all the daily/weekly challenges you should be able to get DLC operators easily without paying any money.
It’s one of the most fun games I tried in a while. Every time I’m not playing it I’m still thinking about playing it. At the beginning you’ll feel like you suck dick because of the extreme amount of map knowledge it requires but it’s so rewarding in the long run.

I played a 3 week kolin with my chun main back in the day. Matchup is legit not easy. Not necessarily terrible for chun but chun has to learn a bunch of stuff whereas kolin is just running her first string crap.
Not being able to consistently poke when you want with chun isn’t a good look.

if USAF4 gets a 80+% discunt on steam I’ll buy it
Lately I’m playing even worse than usual, probably because I’m trying to play a better neutral game at wich I really sucks, how does one learn to play the neutral?

I was watching some CvS2 videos. Did Claw not have FBA in that game? JWong never used it in a long set
Think of small talk like fighting games, in that you have to actively think about wanting to get better at it if you want to improve your game.
walldive sucks in cvs2 is the main reason
Actually one thing to give you an idea since its what im doing to steal ideas for chun, is watch vids of MOV’s chun li. Dude straight up just doesn’t jump for the most part(which makes sense since chun has one of the worst jumps), watch and you can get an idea of his method and what he’s looking for. He is playing chun but a lot of the ideas behind what he’s doing aren’t specific to the character.
here’s the ultimate guide to winning someone over at a party, follow it in detail
You insult me. I like to think that my footsies with Gouki are pretty decent. Until i get triggered by his short ass buttons then i start jumping like an asshole.
This is the reason why i fucking hate Kolin. Not just with Chun either, any of my characters. The first time one of my buttons in neutral is countered, I’m immediately triggered and trying to kill the bitch, the bitch’s children and the bitch’s children’s children.
Just practice man. Lots of trial and error, watching pros and stealing their shit.
General tips; know your normals, know what range they are effective, and know how mobile your character is. Neutral is mostly range management.
