Yes, do you like western rpgs? Skyrim drops this week. Also there are a ton of indie games that are worthwhile on the eshop. As far as fighters go, like the entire neogeo catalog is up there or will be soon. Alot of old school fighters.
Mario kart is a ton of fun and the new Mario is pretty cool, basic platformer at first but the end game provides a ton of challenges and if you like collecting shit it has a robust go find shit game.
I also picked up LA Noire, but that is an acquired taste. It’s an open world detective game where you have to gather evidence and interrogate people, the facial rec. Tech has stood up well to father time. The switch is a great system with some great games on the horizon, you won’t be disappointed.
The new dragonball system seems lame to me but I don’t understand it enough to know how it will change the flow of matches. Ditto on fighting ex layer. That game looks dope. I haven’t seen much on the bbctb game but it’s a vs title so I’m automatically interested.
I haven’t been able to enjoy sfv since marvel dropped. Hoping to get back into it when AE comes out though.
It’s hard to get motivated because we’re dealing with 5 deg C temperatures and cold rain, but that’s my fault for procrastinating in the summer.
Regarding the Switch, get Doom, but that’s only for if you want a game to play away from your home.
If you just want another game when you’re at home, it’d be better get Doom 2016 on PC or PS4 (PC is best though). However, I’d honestly recommend getting the classic Doom games (Ultimate Doom and Doom 2) for PC over Doom 2016. They’re dirt cheap and despite being almost 25 years old, the modding community is still alive and striving, and new levels, mods, engine upgrades, and total conversions (new games with new levels, textures, weapons, sounds, etc) are still being released everyday. Someone just released a total conversion to create a Castlevania FPS and while the graphics are outdated, the mod looks really well made and fun.
I can get Skyrim elsewhere. No shortage of options on that one.
I thought about MK8, but I already managed to patch the Deluxe changes to the Vanilla version on Cemu. Worst balance patch ever, as expected from MK. (Link’s still kinda ass, so no reason for me to play it.)
I’m more interested in Zelda (Not sure how Cemu handles it. Avoiding spoilers like the plague.) Fire Emblem Warriors, Pokken or something with good single player content so I can make the most out of the portable mode.
The less DLC, the better. Kinda strapped for cash rn.
Unfortunately Metroid Prime 4 isn’t available yet, I’d pick that in a heartbeat.
Cold weather sucks for exercise. I lean a lot on walking and running to fill odd workout spots in my routine. I’m a baby about the cold and I don’t like going to the gym for cardio so winter is a struggle (EX enhanced by Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s being guaranteed massive sources of calories).
I’ll buy DBZF as a “tip jar” for ArcSys if nothing else. Not sure how much I’ll play it though. The presentation is fantastic (as is their way) but mechanically the game doesn’t grab me and I don’t give a fuck about DBZ anymore so the roster isn’t gonna pull me in. Very interested to see how much retention that game has over 2018.
@Volt Conventional Switch answers are Breath of the Wild or Mario Odyssey. Both games are standouts in their genre and you can dump a ton of time into both. I still haven’t played either of them yet though. The first thing I bought and played on my Switch was Cave Story. I’m hip and modern.
I think what you are going to find is the portability of the switch make it the preferred console for games that are out on multiple system. At least that is what I came across.
Guess I’ll pick Zelda then. I can’t keep dodging the spoilers forever and it sounds big enough to warrant the purchase. (Thing’s like 340 bucks here. No DLC included.)
I wonder if you have to pay for the online to update games though. Heard it had a few patches.
Naw, the switches actually online system isn’t up and running yet, so all updates are free as of now. I think updates will at least stay that way, online gaming and whatever they do with the vc seems to be the only thing that will have a charge.
They have the same animations cause each character in tekken has like 100 moves each. What they should have done is slowly redone the animations of some moves slowly with the release of each game so you wouldn’t have animations like some of kings multi throws. They’ve done that with some moves but the bad ones definitely stand out.
