The amount of resources he has to pump into said damage is pretty much everything though, if he only has VT available he has to commit to a reset at some point or the scaling is a huge issue. Unless you have two bars for VT extensions, he can be quite tame.
I think it’s a fair trade off, most characters have this kind of burst damage when trading full VT and multiple bars.
Rog has a similar effect I’ve found… try to v trigger combo lvl 9 tap on any opponent after Hk upper… the opponent just floats in the air lol… when you touch them the combo ends
I really hate this change. Gotta use jab to stuff 3fs now.
It’s a weird change because st.mp start-up and pushback were both increased. Still having shitty range. 3 nerfs to compensate 1 buff (medium medium link).
Meanwhile, he got unnecessary buffs like knee being -3 on block.
I wouldn’t mind a damage nerf when it comes to Rog’s V-Trigger shit. Otherwise he’s fine. Capcom just has to buff everyone else so they have decent pokes.
The cr.HP nerf really hurts Mika in the Guile match. Previously, the match was kind of balanced because IF you managed to get in you could Clap him and put him in the corner to stop him from running away. You can’t do that anymore obviously. But now with her cr.HP nerf and I think his normals got buffed it’s almost impossible to get in. And now the little bastard has a 2 stock V-Trigger because why not. So that’s fun to just hold downback and wait for him to eventually come in when he does that shit. Everyone was saying “Yeah, that’s fun. I want Guile to run away until I get one BNB and a poke on him, and then he can activate V-Trigger and completely dictate the match. That’s fun as hell.”
