People have no idea about akuma right now. He has the most broken shit in the game, but has risk and low HP tied to his stupidity.
I don’t want there to be a balance patch before season 2. Akuma will be ass raped as will urien and right now they are 2 of the only characters that really feel like you’re playing actual streetfighter with strong tools not mediocre crap.
Having a month+ prep time with everyone on the same start point isnt that bad. They did it last year.
Three months would have been better for prep, but if the goal is to be as well balanced as possible then another patch stands a better chance at making that happen than letting it rock as is.
I actually sincerely believe that Cammy is the most honest character in the game.
>900 HP
>No projectiles
>No true high or low mix up that puts the player in a guessing state
>No overhead
>Gets nothing off throws (S1/S2)
>Has no more meterless DP meaning she has to respect mix ups
>No crazy VT it’s literally just enhanced SA
>CA is super situational so you can’t DERP with wake up super (also has the worst chip in the game).
>V-Reversal is still shit
>Hooligan is useless
What she has is speed, quick buttons and frame traps but…
None of that shit mattes if you don’t actually know how to use it.
I wasn’t using light block strings until I got to gold because I had no concept of frame traps.
Do I think Cammy sucks? Nah
when I play Cammy I don’t have anything other than c.mk and buttoning people to death.
Yet miggas have mirrors that can bounce shit back and forth. Plasma that goes full screen. Demon flips and tornados that go up in an arch.
It’s December 26th. The competitive season will probably start mid February. This means they should release it in 2-3 weeks, without any “official” beta or tournaments before that. They did that last year, yes, but it was after many months of beta process where everyone should expect the final version wouldn’t have been the one they know.
I don’t see them doing anything like that except for unintentionally broken stuff like infinites or glitches (see Ibuki’s air throw bug) and I really hope they wait at least a few months worth of tournaments to make any other changes.
It depends. About Cammy you are right, but Mika isn’t that easy once she technically got 6 different activation of her trigger. Takes time to memorize all of its properties as resets, mixups and combo links. Plus, impatient Mikas tend to spam her command grabs, clap and cr.hp, which even a super silver player now gonna be aware to punish them properly. Pehaps you think she’s easy to master due to her great damage potential and 50/50 gameplay that use to intimidate those who are less expert with the matchup. In s2 she gonna be even more hard to master, no doubt.
To me, Cammy and Ken are the easiest chars to play with, meanwhile Karin, Sim, Guile and Ibuki are the hardest ones.
Think you forgot the part where most of Cammy’s moveset is absurdly plus on block, has good reach, and can force a throw mix-up after every on hit combo, can combo from a distance into Oki, has some of the be
Playing against Cammy is like playing a character that does everything yours does but better for 1/3 of the cast, she invalidates projectiles and zoning for free, her super is a 3f fullscreen punisher, etc. The shimmy is the only mix-up most characters have, just because that is her only mix-up doesn’t mean it isnt good enough.
