What you are missing is the part where you mix up idiot. Being hit by cr. LK at that range creates zero mixup situation since you can’t do nothing but canceling into a false combo. Even if you dashed forward it wouldn’t be a mixup but simple conditioning.
As they already said to you, EVERYBODY with half a brain cell will just block after they got hit by that cr. LK, so there’s 99% chance you will get punished (to be generous).

hey everybody I found a sick reset with alex. if you put the controller down in the middle of your combo, sometimes it will confuse your opponent enough to make them hesitate, at which point you can punch them in the face. I know it’s sorta whacky but I saw noel brown get away with it once so I think it’s definitely viable
