We’ve been coming to tho lounge for over a year now cussing each other out and simping for likes… hope you guys enjoy this holiday season.

Spending the last year or so with you guys has been quite special. An endless and unyielding barrage of insanity, chaos, trannies, Dic, wtfs, and lols. Definitely one of my absolute favorite years in my time on SRK. Merry Xmas ladies. :heart:

I dunno. Personally I prefer the shorter buffer, at least in a neutral situation. If I want to walk forward and press a button after down-backing, I’ll get that button, rather than walking forward and getting a Sonic Boom. Same with Urien buttons vs tackles. Feel like I’m fighting the charge move less. Haven’t had any issues executing charge moves in combos or in neutral with the new change.

My gift to you fine gentlemen of SRK is a random factoid, because as everyone knows niggas need to read more.

Zangief is based on Victor Zangiev, a wrestler from the Soviet Union. In the late 80s the Soviet economy started to flounder, and they decided to mitigate it by selling their athletes. Now, at this point in time the Soviet bloc dominated multiple sports, including amateur wrestling. Zangiev was sold to New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he became one of the first two Soviet athletes to work professionally for another nation. He even worked in the US for the NWA once in 1990, but he was primarily known in Japan, and would eventually have Gief based on his likeness.

I think Giefs lariat damage buff is super underrated… two anti airs on Gouki’s air shenanigans is 240 damage, keep his ass from jumping and just punish his ass on the ground…

Headbutt and lariat through the fireballs… I feel like this mu is in Giefs favor, he has no answer to cr lp. Also ex RBG as an anti air is pretty godlike.

I’ll need to do more labbin on akumas air fireballs but it looks good for Gief.

I play on a hitbox. I have a dedicated ‘down’ button. The odds of someone being able to tap down faster than me are slim to none. Try again. :tongue:

I know how Akuma works. It’ll seem that way until they figure out options. Then it most likely won’t be that way.

Akuma’s broken pass always gets a pass. Any other character and you wouldn’t hear the end of it. Nerf!

Hitbox masterrace represent. How do you do your super motions? I use the slide method, but I originally trained myself to use the tap method in IV. I’ve found using the tap method in V to be very inconsistent and I had to switch to slide. Capcom changed something relating to super inputs.

I’ve never really had an issue with motions in SFV. I guess I tap for CAs. I’m also somewhat appreciative of how lenient half-circle inputs are in modern Capcom games. I wish I liked the current batch of charge characters in SFV.
