I think Du’s only pulled the no handshake stunt on players he’s friends with (other US players, at least). He might teabag in game all day but after the round he’s usually pretty respectful to his opponent.
Tea bags are really soft in SFV any ways. It’s not like Marvel or Killer Instinct where you can truly dip down into their face inbetween rounds and character deaths. In Killer Instinct people would try to come up with the best tea bag shimmies and certain characters could literally spaz out inbetween your body.
it’s not uncommon for people who are confident and successful on the outside to have mental problems. case in point: movie stars.
there’s also bipolar disorder, which can make you feel high on life one week, and rock bottom the next.
I don’t think we should probe too much into Du’s personal life though, since it’s not our business and he seems to be doing better now which is what matters.
He never wanted to drop her, I mean she. She said she was sticking with Chun on patch note day if I recall correctly.
Also, you know what I wish they had in this game? Buddy status UI.
I want to be able to see if my friend is " In a ranked match " or " Currently in training mode. "
Du is a pretty cool dude. Have hung out a few times and ate with him once. Can’t judge a book by its cover. Same can be said about f champ, he has this persona that people see him as but honestly, that’s really all it is. Generally really nice and approachable guys.
Can’t expect every champion to act like one. Takamura from a hajime no ippo best example
Du didn’t shake takeuchi’s hand once but I’m not gonna hate him over it lol. Though I will say he comes off as a dick, but we don’t actually know him, so it’s not really in our place to judge
