The Street Fighter V Lounge: Kolin is COLD HEARTEEEEEEEEED!

Isn’t Justin one of the premiere MVC champions also ? I know he is supposed to be a Marvel legend.

The weird part is they didn’t keep Justin’s for marvel.

Sign Chris G “because of Marvel I” but drop Justin Wong the greatest Marvel player of all time simultaneously.

k.

Methinks they were just offering shitty contracts since the corporate changes have taken place and folks who could afford to chose to leave.

They released Justin because they want this guy for marvel

What makes the decision crazy is Justin does better at Marvel than Street Fighter.

Ggs @Darklightjg1

Yea but Justin’s Chinese
Nobody likes the Chinese

We don’t even know if MVC:I will release in 2017. If they will release the game only when it is finished then an 2018 release is very possible.

Yea justin is the best marvel player of all time, this move had everything to do with Momo and Wong getting a better deal elsewhere, they won’t be FA for long

World of difference between games and I can throw the comparisons right back at you. In ST the walk speed was insanely fast to compensate for no dashes. In ST and also pretty much every fighting game up until V, and that’s including the 4 series, command grabs did not have something like 50-100 frames of recovery on whiff. I can’t think of any other “big” fighting game where you can dash out to avoid a command grab and then dash back in to do a BNB. Not to mention you could easily get tick-thrown to death by the grapplers in ST. Not to mention kara-throws in other games.

A lot of games had invincible DP unless it was 3rd Strike.

1F throws in ST were easy as shit to tech.

Pretty much everything was safe on block in ST as well. It wasn’t until 3rd Strike where you could punish sweeps and fireballs on block or hit.

And the Alpha games were mostly trash except for 2. A3 is popular with casuals but when it came to tournaments it was popular for about a minute. So comparing V to Alpha is kind of mute. It’s like saying “Hey, KOF should have strikers again just like in 2000!” But KOF 2000 was a broken POS.

I think the two different kinds of Quick Rise is probably the stupidest design choice in the entire game. And that’s saying a lot

Pardon me for wanting to have fun and not wanting to play your boring Neutral Fighter V.

I would pick this game right back up if the Quick Rise issue was addressed (and there’s a snowball’s chance in hell for that) and a lot of bad balance changes (not so much the mid-screen wall bounce for Mika but definitely the cr.HP nerf being reverted) were undone.

And saying all of this: I am incredibly apprehensive over Mahvel Infinite. If Capcom is so focused on catering to bad players then I do not want to see what trainwreck Infinite might be.

What’s the quick rise issue?

In the video linked by the tweet, they didn’t say anything about dropping them. They said they were losing them.

The guy who retweeted it is the one who said they were dropped. They may have just left on their own like pr balrog.

People said the exact same shit about Tokido and Mago

The esports bubble is popping and that’s all there is to it

I wouldn’t be mad tbh.

Two different kinds of quick rise fuck up the timing for applying meaties on wakeup which allows even DERPIER players to mash Jab or Light on wakeup.

“Hi Justin”

Says the Mika player quitting because he can’t derp season 2

I guess every motherfucker in every major CPT tournie was a fucking DERPIE player, because there’s not a single one of them that didn’t mash theyselves some 3 fr. lp or lk at some point.

We all know S2 would’ve disappointed some, nothing new here. Even some pros on Twitter are beginning to believe on the possibility of a patch before the CPT start. Meanwhile all those things are making people even more curious about the newcomers and I don’t see them looking shit compared to Akuma. Capcom are going to win anyway, making actual roster shitter on purpose would make the new ones appear strong and shiny.

that’s sort of the point though isn’t it? the fact that pros are mistiming meaties often enough for wakeup jab to be viable is pretty telling
