Poison just stops grey life from recovering, nothing else. Arguably weaker now that grey life already takes forever to start ticking so the poison time stop on it means even less.
So, as to S1 balance, I don’t think we can really separate characters into really discrete tiers; I’d stick with a basic 3 part structure of Consistent Results, Inconsistent Results, and Few Results. Or Top, Mid, and Bottom. This is entirely off me eyeballing it; if anyone has the data for CPT Top 8s I’d love to see it, run some tests. Hell, if we had a dataset of all entries by character I could do some really fun things with it.

Note that everyone after Guile came out too late to really get consistent results anyways so there’s a good chance that they’re off by a tier or so.
In the main menu spell it “challenge” without an s at the word’s end, and same with “battle settings”.
When in main menu -> challenge -> demonstrations, change Ryu and Ken and the traning stage to Guile and Nash and the “Air Force Base” stage.
I think Guile’s simple controls and zoning are better for new players to learn initially.
A new mode from main menu -> challenge -> a new “battle” at the end of this list, under “missions”.
It can replace the weekly 5.000 fm missions real people actually spend a lot of time with.
Weekly 10.000 fm with a new character and a cpu opponent and a stage of your choice, you both start at 1000 health points and you fight the ultra-megahard cpu.
btw, when you are done with him. would you mind to post the stuff in the nash sub section?
here it will be just lost with all the stupid animated gifs and match meeting posts.
Cammy mirror matchs are fucking hell. Even if you try to play a ground footies game, it’s like two people with loaded dynamite running into each other.
And I swear they can feel it on the other side. Like it’s just allot of walking back and forth because you’re both afraid of who hits first.
That being said I’ve gotten much better at it. When they start doing wake up DP at random times you know you got them shook.
Literally every Cammy I fought just walks back and forth at the beginning of the round to avoid getting rekt in 10 secs.
On lower ranks there were also the random spiral arrows/hooligans at the beginning of the round
as Sim I hardly get any opportunities to practice the mirror so even though I CAN’T STAND that m/u I try to rematch anyways since finding another sim is rare and finding a good sim is even more rare.
Every time I get matched up with rommaler in rank he does this and it always makes me salty win or lose. I’m just trying to play some 2 out of 3 sets, man.
