Hopefully this isn’t a Driveclub situation all over again. Because it literally took a month before the server issues for that game to be sorted. But fortunately for them it had a robust single player to fall back on.

Same thing happened with Bloodborne, except iirc it took them even longer to sort out. Same situation though, they at least had a godlike single player mode

Fuck it, Imma brag a little. I haven’t lost yet, 36 straight and counting. Granted almost everyone online is terrible but eh. I never got anywhere close to that back in SF4.

You can’t access the preorder alt costumes unless you are successfully logged into the CFN.

If this applies to the forthcoming DLC characters then tournaments are going to have a big problem.

I got it to run when I disconnected from network. However I had something odd happen I need someone to test to verify for me:

I unplugged internet entirely for a sec to check this. Not an issue of game connects to server but then can’t log in. Turn off internet entirely.

Turn on SFV. Tells me can’t access network. Then it tells me I need to log in to access online stuff. Then it makes me accept EULA for some reason. I hit accept annnnd it just sits there on the splash screen with the SFV logo animating over and over.

Can anyone else confirm that with zero internet access the game just doesn’t load on PC?

I pulled my ethernet plug and I get the same thing you did.

Lol no offline play?

Cool, can more people test this? it’s kind of a big deal. If you can’t play the game with no internet access at all then taking a laptop somewhere isn’t viable. Again, not failing to login. Disable your internet access entirely and go offline then start the game up.

It seems to be a PC specific issue.

Just tested and yes, the same happened to me!!!

Turns out that as long as you have steam in offline mode it is ok. It is a fairly minor issue unless you have intermittent internet connections. If you have poor consistently where you tend to lose net and keep steam on so it reconnects as soon as net comes back you’ll hang if you don’t know internet died and switch to offline mode before trying to play.

It’s a fairly minor issue but one that should be fixed.

Yeah that is my issue with survival most of the CPU isn’t about spacing or rushing down or shit. It is about finding whatever gimmick the AI can’t deal with and running that until it is over. Once you get to the CPU reading your inputs in Hard it is just bullshit, I mean if I could react to even a 15f dash with a perfect punish counter-poke and do st. MP to beat Chun’s st. MK on reaction without ever whiffing I’d be pretty godlike also.

With all of the shit that has happened with Launch Day, I seriously hope that Capcom will just release the single player modes and hopefully Alex before march.

On the positive side, I’m enjoying the game so far.

ken is actually pretty sick you know. at least it seems like they’ve balanced the characters reasonably well. even the worst character in the game is probably better than c tier sf4.

I hate extreme input reading AI. Kills any fun in trying to play normally and it just becomes find the exploit (which I haven’t tried to do yet). Oh well, I’ll attempt to unlock the remaining colors tomorrow.

Not sure about bloom, but you can try turning anti-aliasing in the graphics menu to low to see if that sharpens things up.

Battle lounge is the only mode that even matters to me. I seriously don’t care about ranked beyond unlocking titles and e-peening, but that comes after I’ve had a chance to properly work the game out, and to do that I need to sink some real time into some sets. Individual matches just make me try to do what it takes to win that one game rather than figuring out long term stuff.

SFV isn’t even released for me until this is working.
