Sounds like you’re running into what is currently my only real problem with the game. At a slight distance, most normals feel shorter than they look, plus you have the father normals that CC, so this game kind of wants you to get in. Up close, jabs become strong because the nature of normals in this game lends itself VERY well to frame traps. So two people that are close together just end up trying to jab or short each other most of the time.
This leads me to believe that this SF more than any other is going to be reliant on frame data knowledge. Now whether that’s good or bad is up to opinion but it is taking some getting used to.
Holy shit, I actually took two games off a Chun with Laura in a first to 3… Then I lost…, and then I got 3-0’d the next set. What a fucking lopsided matchup. You can just st hp with Chun vs Laura and she can’t do shit.
I think all the esports minded people who got into sf4 late think because the game is new, that now is their chance to win and get famous. So, high entrant numbers don’t surprise me.
Thats how the Wolfkrone vs Fchamp MM got started for Final Round. Champ told him to not rage quit irl and Wolf said put $500 on it at final round… done deal.
I can’t wait for that Champ vs BlueRiver MM marvel either, the shit talkin has been real.
The online experience is looking like girl fighter V to me. I’m seeing loads of cammys, lauras and karins. Chun not so much. After that it’s probably a tie between ken and nash. Vega I hardly ever see, and zangief…i’ve only fought against 4
It’s Ryu and Ken fighter for me, fought about 20 of them today and like 3-4 other characters. And they all DP on wakeup even though I punish them each time.
I see mostly Karin (probably the most popular character behind Ryu and Ken in my experience), Laura, Ryu, and Ken. I thought I’d see a lot more Nash and Mika, but to be honest I’ve not seen so many
