Why is there no message system so you can tell someone how much of a lowlife they are for rage quitting
Has anyone git any quick helpful tips to get in on Sim? I’m playing Ryu and I’m finding it hard to get past his buttons especially after I am in the corner. He’s a lot more frustrating in this game than in IV
It seems that you can tech throws by doing up+LP+LK, which would completely bypass the whole throw recovery restriction. This same OS exists in many 2D fighting games including 3S.
So if you do downback (4-8ish frames after wakeup/blockstun), then quickly do upback+LP+LK then quickly back to downback, you can tech throws and still block strings w/ 3f/4f gaps. Loses to command grabs of course, I don’t there can be any foolprooof OSs against them since the throw invul (2f) and the gaps they have (usually 3f) are way too short to buffer any sort of jump, meaning you will always get hit. Backdashes can work but you still get hit out of the air. Also loses to delayed lows, however very few characters have low chains, and even less get anything off them (only character that comes to mind is chun li, laura w/ super.
To be honest I quite like it because you don’t get a load of messages from someone telling you why you suck so much because you are constantly beating them and they can’t handle it.
getting exposed to players who play nonsensically is important. Also a good way to cultivate training partners is to prove to other high ranked players that you’re worth playing outside of ranked, and a good portion of those players should be high level players.
In SF4 I wasn’t a prominent tournament player but ended up with a bunch of players with major top 8’s/16’s on my friendslist because I beat them in ranked and they were like “oh this guy can play”.
Yea, I’ve added a few people who I played in ranked to play in the lounge because the match was extremely close or I got bodied… My way of saying, I’ll get that ass next time…
Makes it easy to find them since CFN saves all your replays.
