I would love to turn all that stuff off.
A little motion in the background is fine. But all these people running and jumping and popping up and shit.
Too much.
Was anyone expecting otherwise? Even if this launch debacle didn’t happen, Capcom themselves had no intention of outselling SF4. That was never gonna happen, no matter what.
And, with no arcade release, I’m not even sure how Japan would accept this game, anyways. I remember reading comments on some Japanese site how the characters didn’t look like they were designed by a Japanese company (remember the Cammy face change nonsense to appease Japan). SF is kind of an acquired taste over there. If SF is going to establish footing in Japan, it’s gonna need eSports’ help, exposure, and time. Hopefully, the tourney season this year and the Japanese pro players can bring the hype. From the Japanese streams I’ve watched, they at least seem to be having fun…
The worst stages in SFVI were the ones added from SFXT. As they not only had a ton of moving parts. But also freaking SOUND distracting from the fight.
Blastfurnace was the worst, with the truckstop being a close second.
I had a Vega Player from Swiss an hour ago who was lagging pretty hard, and had “I am sorry” as a title. I had set the 5 bar option and Swiss is pretty close, too. Just an asswipe, apperantly. I still won, though. Ha.
Yeah, I know. It’s just sad to see that there was no miracle success there.
An arcade version seems unlikely given that arcades are now dying in Japan too. Although what’s killing arcades is not consoles but the mobile market, which doesn’t foretell a rosy outcome for fighting games in Japan. If it wasn’t for the Sony thing that might mean we get a 3DS version, but that’s probably not happening for a long while if ever. And Capcom is probably never going to make another fighter for the Vita after the catastrophe with SFxT.
Also worth noting is that you can’t back techroll command grabs (SPD, Brimstone, etc.) or hitgrabs (Tragedy Assault).
See I was going to go the other way and say that Capcom pulls a UMvC3 for the Vita with SFV and the Vita version of SFV has in game frame data and a hitbox viewer.
Yep…thank god the battle lounge seems to have been fixed for me. I’ve just been doing lounge since last night. This is way better. Got excited to do well after my losing streak, and ragequitting just made it all pretty meaningless.
