Yeah, I am on a laptop, and it’s very possible it’s an optimus thing. My battery doesn’t actually come out without unscrewing stuff, and it’s a work computer so I’m not about to do that. Similarly for messing with the BIOS…
Lame…
Holy crap. I honestly 100% expected serious server issues, and I was ok with that because they probably won’t last too long and in the meantime I can at least unlock stuff. Except you need to be on Capcom’s server to unlock stuff, because apparently Capcom totally missed that everyone hates always on DRM and that it is always a bad idea. Make us play a boring, long mode to unlock frigging colors, AND force us to be not just online, but on YOUR crappy server? Jesus christ.
I’m just imagining them balled up in a corner rocking back and forth saying “it’s still just day 1” as their screens say error 2100d/2100e for the hundredth time.
I got one more potential trick. Reading around since it has been awhile. Supposedly they have a new option where you right click a .exe and you can choose the graphic processor manually. It shows up on my laptop but I don’t have SFV on my laptop.
So find the SFV.exe or whatever the game.exe is called and do the following.
Right Click It->Run with graphics processor->Select High-Performance NVIDIA Processor
Actually looking forward to waking up in a few hours for class more than I am playing whatever this is supposed to be right now. I’ve never been so excited for midterms.
Hopefully by the time I’m home in the evening, Capcom will have sorted this mess out. Everyone loses in this current situation except for maybe MKX players that want to brag.
