The Street Fighter 3poxy Strike: Everybody at home but SF5 doesn't have Netcode

Maybe, just maybe, you should’ve finished your studies in Dubai.

You got scammed, call the cops.

That’s nice. I don’t listen to much of the newer hip-hop because, well, I can’t stand it lol, but I like that.

Can’t figure out if the dude at 0:54 is Method Man. Sure seems like him and the endo reference makes sense.

Meth’s my favourite rapper man. I really think he’s underrated.

No it’s fucking stupid. The high schools in Dubai are better than the ones here, but the unis here are better than there. I was stuck in the worst possible position, and no matter what I would’ve ended up here anyway because you need to have law experience within the US to become a lawyer here.

By that reasoning, I already finished my education there. The result of that effort meant I couldn’t see my mother for a year because she had to leave for the US. I went through so much torture to get here, and when I finally did, they put their finger up my ass and are telling me to dance.

I legit feel bad for you man, you’re getting fucked super hard. No lube, no spit, nothing.

And I thought that kids here were getting bodied with this nutjob of a president wanting to run the National Exam no matter what, even if it’s online.
(It’s the major exam for people to get into college here, but most private unis also have their own and a few state unis too.)

Naturally, that’d just screw over the poorer people and turn our exam from one of the most secure and cheat-free into a complete joke because it’s hella easy to cheat on online exams.

Edit: Speaking of people getting bodied…

Poor dude probably just wanted a bigger screen. :sob:

Exactly the problem. I could care less about academic integrity or honor of an assessment, but what you’re basically doing with this is creating a darker, bolder line between people that matter and undesirables. This is fucking ethnic, socio-economic, social, racial cleansing. People just refuse to see it because it’s covered in a sexy veil of radiowaves, $100 bills and WiFi.

Why are you taking AP classes?

You’re better off doing extra curricular stuff to get into colleges. Also getting into Harvard is kind of a meme. There are hella great colleges all over the country. The big difference is the connections you make in collegr, but you can grind that out in other institutions.

You’re better off finding busy work in a law firm that you can parlay into letters if recommedation than necessarily doing AP classes to get into an Ivy League school.

Edit: volunteer work at random places etc. At this point, if I’m remembering right, Harvard is putting more emphasis on well roundednesd rather than academics. Not that grades dont matter but some people overvalue GPA.

Couple of things:

  1. My immigration docs forbid me from working, otherwise I’d be on it.

  2. As for extra curricular stuff, I’ve had national runs in 3 different sports, won one of them and was captain for all. Also got titles and titles and trophies of debating competitions, elocutions and international competitions for a variety of things. Acting and drama too. Also I do have work experience, but from Dubai where I worked in HR for a drinks corp.

  3. Taking APs because I have completed my IGCSEs. That way I have qualifications at a high school graduate level that very few people in America do, in tandem with APs. I’d already be at a firm if it wasn’t for the immigration stuff. I legally cannot work lol.

You couldn’t have just said you got fired from your last job because you slept with the boss’s daughter or some shit?

Was trying to back out without burning the bridge. Probably just gonna email them thanks but no thanks.

It’s an ok job just way too much driving for my beater car.

Edit: they didn’t even ask about my last job just my coursework

How old are you?

Something about the education system in Dubai aint adding up?

What doesn’t add up? I’m 17.

So you finished high school in Dubai but they’re slamming you with two more years of it?

Wtf?

Exactly. It’s fucked up. This was supposed to be my last year here. Instead, I’ve had to do year 11 again. Come September, I’ll be starting my senior year.

All because they care about my age, not what I’ve achieved.

Happened to me too with some classes I took in PR. Had to do 2 freshmen classes, one my junior year the other senior year, to graduate.

:man_shrugging:

Shouldnt stop you from applying to colleges though.

That’s not the point of the discussion. It’s to say that I’m being forced to pay to complete exams to get to where I want. I know I can apply. And I know I’ll graduate. But I’m being forced to pay for my forcibly repeated education on my father’s singular income that supports 3 families.

You dont need AP classes to graduate high school.
