Valve suddenly started sending takedown notices to a number of anime-style adult games and visual novels over a few months in 2018, claiming that the games violated Steam’s guidelines for appropriate content. It rightfully blew up into a big PR fiasco, forcing Valve to publicly backtrack on the whole matter and send apologies to multiple affected publishers.
I say rightfully blew up because, well, Valve fully deserved the backlash it received. It quickly became evident that Valve had solely targeted “anime-style” games and visual novels, but no one could be sure that Valve wouldn’t spread its scope to other genres in the future. Valve’s poorly defined guidelines were inconsistently applied, with rather mild content titles receiving takedown notices while some more extreme content titles were ignored. In that regard, it looked like Valve had been more willing to target smaller and lesser known games while being more forgiving to some more popular and better known titles. Games that had been on Steam since before Valve opened the flood gates, without previous issues, were sent notices. Games that were already censored were also sent notices saying that they’d have to be censored to remain on Steam. As typical, Valve wouldn’t give any meaningful explanation of what was wrong, and ignored publisher attempts to obtain more information or to review the matter.

Is the lol that what ultradavid said or that he got called out for it? Because Sirlin has a point. There was a lot of goofy drama surrounding HDR.
Some of it was the big problem the scene of Japan and the US being in the same version of the game. The other side of that was a lot of crankiness at Sirlin not listening to people etc.
Game is cool in a lot of areas though.

I don’t even know if the lol is in the vid itself because EC posted a screenshot of it. 
Judging by Sirlin’s response, there’s some bad blood between the two of em, so I really wanted some context before voicing any opinion. 
She was one of the bad guys in Guilty Gear Xrd. There’s a lot of story stuff to get into but she eventually turns good through the power of burgers and puppies. Here’s what she looks like in that game.
That would be awesome. We still have a bit of ways to go thanks to the delay.

She was also an obnoxious single-player character, whose gameplan was essentially to get a random hit, turn that into a 15 second full corner carry combo, and then hit you with 4 unreactable safe high-low mixups in a row after that.

Ok so i made fresh new CFN to basically learn Poison and some Seth while returning to Juri when i feel like it later on.
- 5 bars only i get 1 or 3 bar connections
- insane stuttering and lag
- 10 months no play time shows,i’m super rusty
- my anti air dp gets eaten by a normal jump in ( or i did it too late / early )
Why did i even bother.Please fix,it used to run much better.

Is that the heavy DP? If so it was too early. Heavy DP is invincible to air attacks on frames 1-10, but it also has 10f startup (I.e. no invulnerability after the first active frame). Gotta wait till he’s a bit lower so your iframes cover your active frames.

I won’t be purchasing any future FGs day one. I’ll wait until I know the game has good netcode and connections.
Devs can hold that L if they are not willing to prioritize players online experience.

Surprisingly, the player who did the combo talked about it.
It’s easier in HDR due to Honda’s hands requiring 3 inputs instead of 4, but the same thing is possible in ST.
Edit: And it’s still hard af anyway.

What I don’t understand is…shouldn’t they care? I’m no expert, but I would think the quality of the net play is important to player retention in any game, especially in one where you want to fleece people for DLC money.
