It is satisfying to land. Online too. It’s a 1fr link, so you gotta piano it.
I’ll have you know that won’t work on me though. See you in bracket, Ken.

Yeah it will. Nobody is immune to getting cracked over the head.
Also why are you guys rushing the tits out of this tournament thing? There’s like, 2 people who can play this game at a not so terrible level.
Oh yeah? Get ready for a wake-up DP like never before.
Also the tourney’s lookin’ pretty small, but only because there’s so few people in this thread on 30th. It’s not really a rush since it’s days away, but it’s gonna be a fun scrub event. Also who the fuck are these 2 people? We all suck.
You and Pertho don’t suck. You may think you suck, but when you guys are 10-0’ing the rest of us, you don’t suck.
Sorry, and not to knock anyone else. I’m just a little tilted right now.
@Spinnerism, I appreciate you being a good, humble dude, but you don’t suck
I appreciate that, but I hope that misconception is put to bed in bracket.
Now that KingTubb learned not to just randomly wail on all his buttons, his Chun might shape up.
@PlusFrames you need to get comfortable moving forward. I’m kinda terrible at parrying against you for w/e reason, but right now the way you play basically sounds like a field day for Spinnerism to parry your balls into outer space.
Yeah, I appreciate that. You’re right. I seem to press buttons, jump, or dash forward in set intervals. Need to learn how to break that rhythm, as well as just learn to walk forward and bait out whiff punishes or something… Speaking of which you had a lot of nice ones against me with Yun and Ken.
The hardest part about breaking that rhythm is so much of these games is by feel, and I’m honestly pretty slow at decision making so I try to embrace my gut instincts (why I also DP in neutral like a mad man). It’s going to be hard to delay those instincts of pressing shit and building patience, but I need to do it
It’s not about breaking rhythm, it’s about playing at a different rhythm than your opponent to allow you to reliably construct setplays and comfortably break their setplays. 3S is beat heavy. Perhaps this is the advantage that I have if any. I can easily switch rhythms as necessary because I have enough consistent experience with being forced it into positions I don’t want to be in.
You’re supposed to make quick, efficient decisions, and often megamind reads don’t get you anywhere in this game unless you play someone for as long a set as I play Pertho. Think of it like this. He’s an antibody, and I’m a virus. I was bodying him for a while, but as I’ve developed, so has he. That evens our games out more. Question your every move with relevant questions. If you do crouch strong to an opponent, don’t ask, “What will I do for the frametrap if blocked?” Ask yourself, “What can I confirm this into?” The defensive option should be ingrained.
Be offensive, and be smart about it. If you’re building meter fullscreen against Yun, don’t press crouch strong. Press stand strong. That will anti-air him on the divekick; it stops his best approach option.
What you can gather from this is that you must think before proceeding. 3S neutral is as much a self-conversation as art is. You need to be able to look at your intention and question it efficiently and effectively to evolve on to the next stroke of the brush, or next button on the stick.
TL;DR
Develop a rhythm of your own that compliments your setplay.
Learn to converse with yourself in meaningful portions of dialogue every time you intend to push a button.
You can play against me sometime. I’m an easier opponent.
What yall playing third strike on

To actually drive people to get good. Light a fire under people’s asses, including mine.
Besides. 30th tournament on the 30th. That’s just too good.
You ain’t ducking, right?
I know I’m ducking!
Seems like a tall order but I’m doing it.
Also, fuck learning MVC2 or any other game… I’m sick of being obsessed with fighting games for the last 3 years and being absolutely ass in them. Shit’s pathetic… it’s time to stick one game, one main, and grow.
Will keep playing ST because it’s fun, isn’t as lab heavy, and tests my reads and awareness, which I need as well, but will only probably play it against you guys
Sounds good!
Cute. You decided to get out of the gutter to pull a Veserius.
What’s going on? Mid-life crisis? Certainly looks like it, you’re not even being original about it. It’s actually even worse because unlike Ves, you ain’t even smart to actually say something worthwhile when I’m not around.
Go find someone’s boots to lick, it’s not like you’re better at anything.
