The Code Mystics port of 98UM has never made it to PSN unfortunately.
Is there a formula for figuring out the advantage/damage of a counterhit move? Also, is there a formula for chip damage of a move?
Edit: Or a spreadsheet somewhere that has the updated data for season 4?
Advantage is +2 extra frames on counter hit. Unless its a crush counter then its arbitrary.
Dunno about dmg.

Personally it’s the only SNK fighting game I never fucked with, and I played basically everything SNK has done, it’s personal preference but I never liked it.
Probably because it doesn’t exist, the one with rollback is 97 something something different company made the ports of 98 and 2002.

Yeah Code Mystics handled SamSho 5 SP, Kof 97, LB2 and Garou on PSN.
The steam versions of 98UM and 2002UM are Code Mystics ports too.

It could definitely be that tbh. I just know from the menu and controls etc it wasnt made with a modern console in mind.
97 Global Match with rollback was legit great though. I was able to get playable matches vs Chinese opponents from Sydney.
And by playable i mean i got fucking abused by guys who seemed like they never put it down.

Yes you can, if you buy a game it just gets added permanently to your library, it’s one of the reasons I don’t feel bad buying games that I know I won’t play for years, if ever, because at worst my son will inherit them.
