The Street Fighter 3poxy Strike: Everybody at home but SF5 doesn't have Netcode

Late but the advice about scheduling is on point.

It seems weird to schedule something fun like hobby time but when it is a hobby that requires or benefits from consistency you really do need to have some kind of plan so that you don’t get discouraged or burnt out.

Back before the world broke (and my evenings got a lot more open) I’d set aside a half hour for WC, a half hour for FG practice, and then an hour or two for whatever else was primary for me at the time. Could be more FGs, another game, painting, watching a movie, whatever.

I find if you have multiple hobbies it can be really frustrating when you look up and realize you’ve been neglecting one or more of them. I used that as motivation to sort of swing back the other way with painting but now I’m finding more of a balance so that in a given day I’m doing at least a little bit of everything I like.

On a more general note: whats everyone playing nowadays? Did the SFV online ever stabilize (fat chance but hey you never know)?

Fuck training stage, all grid stages are boring.

Gimme cool stages with hype music on the background.

3rd Strike and ST on SF 30th Anniversary Collection.

We actually got a bunch of people playing and the netcode is real good, I’ve been playing Perth and Spin somewhat frequently.

You in?

But Grid Stages are the stages you pick if you play the game.
It’s very important to pick Grid.
There is nothing to distract you and the lines make spacing easier.

30th A on Steam / PC. Possibly has the best netcode of any SF title to date.

of any SF title to date.

Even during my lapse period your vids are the some of the few FG channels I’ve kept up with. So I am quite well informed about Aftermath. Keep up the great work man.

I am always tempted back to MK11 but then I bounce off the NRS engine. Consider it a personal failing. Looking forward to seeing where it goes though. I’ll send my energy for Shao Kahn buffs.

Ha, well put.

I’ll grab 30th at some point. Decent online is hard to come by and 3S is 3S.

NRS is plenty fine, just many people in the end dont understand its a 2d fighting game with a 3d fighting game ruleset and that breaks a lot of peoples brains in the end. Ive seen a few people once they understand it, finally begin to click with it all.

But yes Shao Kahn buffs, its finally happening!!!

The humble bundle website has it on perpetual sale. I also picked up Strider for $4 and change.

Chun, Ken. There’s more characters that fit the “no gimmick” description, but those are the 2 with good buttons. Pick 'em up. Seriously.

Speaking of MK ,still surprised they added Robocop and not Mileena, especially since this aftermath story expansion is altering the timeline again ( i think ) .

For sure.

Looks like no cross play. Folks playing on PC or PS4?

Good news is I ordered my new computer yesterday. Bad news is the damn thing isn’t likely to ship for awhile.

I don’t think Mileena is coming till 12 tbh

I think so as well now.

Inb4 Injustice 3 guest character though.

We’re all on PC, and we use a Discord server for matchmaking, the invite to which is here:

You can still asks for games in this thread.

That server is really there for the voice channels. If you’re in it and arent playing your opponent with a mic on, you’re missing out on a lot.
