I remembered Bulma being a smoker. In Super they joke about seeing her saggy tits and I remember thinking that smoking probably made them that way, since iirc smoking lowers your body’s “elastin” or something (that shit that makes your skin tight/not saggy).
Basically a weird ass lore detail that I’m probably reading too much into. I remember weird irrelevant shit like that.

Adaptation is, imo, the best part of fighting games. They do this to shut down that, now I gotta deal with it until they figure out how to counter my counter.
It’s why I can’t stand doing people who do the same thing over and over no matter what’s happening. Even when I win it’s not satisfying because I feel like I wasn’t even playing the game.
Beating people who don’t learn is an important part of playing too. There are some hilariously stubborn people out there who are to players. Kazunoko’s Yun was a huuge example of that. Dude would get DPed 3 times and then divekick 6 more times just for good measure.

Yeah. I can elaborate on that if you want, but I wish I implemented it sooner in the games, because that’s when my execution was better. It would have guaranteed me less losses at the very least.
Ok, so far Bulma is 2/2 for scenes in which she appears and smokes, great sayaman episodes, and the 2nd time she does it with gusto. The 90s were a different time.

For anyone interested, here’s my low level strategy on getting option parries based on beats and rhythm. Criticism is fine, but do consider that this is a scrub killer strategy only. I’m not doing this against Daigo Umehara.
Summary
Back when I was playing Injustice and getting into FGs, I had a mentor that taught me the value of sounds in the games, and I found myself playing a better game when the music/volume was off. This was because I wasn’t getting influenced by the beat to play in certain ways, an exploit he was using to kick my ass all the time.
Prior to this, I had already developed a distaste towards listening to music as a hobby because it creates earworms that drill into my mind in moments where I want my head to be empty for meditation.
Anyway, that’s not to say I rushed in head first every beat drop, or that I played defensive when the music slowed. It’s just that I aligned my actions with what I could hear.
I’m told a common beat for music is 120bpm, and that creates the reliable predictability balanced with satisfied surprise that you subconsciously go through every time you listen to it (I think). Anyway, that feeling can get addicting, and, more often than not, becomes an integral part of the way you behave.
That’s why a lot of “zones” that mid-level players talk about entering is mostly just a happy collection of good and bad habits, such as my doing EX Tatsu > DP on block, at the same rhythm, every damn time. I can’t help it. It’s in my nature, and I need to work it out of my system.
Anyway, typically what I will do is stick out an attack that I know will get blocked, then I’ll use that gap between beat 0-119 to walk forward, return to neutral, or do whatever I need to get into position. Then on beat 120, I’ll buffer low parry, which is an OS.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t; it’s an OS. And I certainly can’t use this beats strategy against good players - they’ve developed better habits than to mash low forward the second they can. But this strategy is very effective at lower levels because people still view the health bar as a scrubbing track that they need to empty to get to the end of the song (round). When I understand your habits after certain buttons, I can work to fuck your shit up. And I won’t be punishing you. You will be punishing yourself by falling into repetition.
