I got some money in my Steam wallet. Thinking about getting Skullgirls. There’s normal and second encore. Second Encore is just the extra characters or mandatory?

Question for you guys… How do you get better at ST?
Maybe I’m wrong, but outside of knowing your buttons, combos and figuring out your and your enemy gameplans, it doesn’t seem like a game where you have to lab punishes and stuff like that.
So, how do you get better at it?
I just suck because I’m predictable and I seem to get a read on m opponents, even long after they have me figured out.
I’m getting this home workout in. No gym? No problem! Tryna get in my Black Ranger costume fittin proper before October.

The only one I don’t see a chance of horribly backfiring is VF6. That being said, my dream game would be a new Darkstalkers. And a new CvS would be cool if they do more than SF vs KOF.

Yeah, I was thinking of maybe including Capcom All Stars, but didn’t want to make too many options. Was also thinking about including Marvel 4 but wanted to restrict the poll to series that have been dormant for a long time.

Lol, nevermind. I just watched some of my replays and it’s clear as day what i’m doing wrong… Standing at jump kick range, throwing Hadoukens on repeat.
I need to watch some high level Ryu’s play, because I really don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing with him.

I feel like the speed and limited toolbox makes it need more reads than a lot of modern fighters.
I really like ST
Edit: this is why I wanna play them fighting herds.
That game only has 2 bars and isn’t bogged down by systems from what I can tell. A lot of games nowadays have so many systems
