I was feeling self conscious because this was almost my exact jungle juice recipe back in school and everyone was talking about this dude being crazy.
Then Bea was the true hero. I’ll drink in your honor tonight

We should get games this weekend, if you got time.
I feel like playing with people you know is always the most constructive way to play.
Also, finding the right game helps too. I honestly feel like BBTAG is making me a better overall fighting game player cause I click with it. Bout to hit some training mode with Urien so I don’t scrub too hard next time we play.
Edit: D-D-D-DOUBLE POST!!!
How long does it normally take to receive a digital code from amazon?
I usually get the e-mail as soon as order goes through.
Mmmm I hope you don’t mind my input. I come from a teacher perspective…
See the thing I notice you’ve been doing is you keep apologising, and you know what you’re doing wrong. Yet you still go ahead and do it.
If you’re doing things out of habit or autopiloting, then it’s hard to improve.
This bad habit is transferable to every fighting game, be it Sf6 or Kof 15 or Guilty Gear Strive 2. When you make a mental effort to stop apologising and actually stop mashing and having a good game plan, you might find out that you’ll like fighting games even more.
You start having satisfying wins vs I won because I mashed or I won but I don’t know what I’m doing.
The more you keep mashing and then apologising afterwards, the more the habit will be ingrained.
I figured as much…my shit has been pending for like half an hour.
Did the payment actually go through?
Sounds good!
Evenings/nights are best for me. I have work to catch up on this weekend during the mornings/days.
Great points! I will say that I naturally apologize a thousand times a day anyway, but I definitely understand your point.
I will stop mashing. I won’t progress if I keep it up. It gets hard at times, but I need to remember it’s only going to make actual progress harder.
Also, the game plan thing is tough for me. I really don’t know what that means to be honest.
My ideal strategy with Ken in 3S is during neutral, to stand just outside of c.MK range and try to poke/whiff punish my way in, with a few jumps and dashes to vary things up. If I get a knockdown (or advantage) then I go in for pressure. When I lose that, I try to go back to my neutral spacing and try to do it again. On defence, I just try to block smart, punish when I can, and get out of there if I can’t.
Not gonna lie, I love that art style for Mortal Kombat, I think it fits the series amazingly well.
If the last games actually looked like that I’d probably be playing them.
Come to think of it, as an aspiring teacher, maybe I should do it too…
Nigga, git gud and stop mashing sweep on wake-up!!!
Just checked and nope. Money hasn’t left my account
I want to cancel the order but I can’t find anything that will let me
I don’t think I sweep on wakeup.
?
… okay, I probably sweep on wakeup
Having a gameplan boils down to these
knowing your character’s strengths and weakness.
knowing what your character can do at certain distance. Knowing what you are doing and why you are doing them.
You downback at the start of the round. Ask yourself why. Every single move you throw out, every retreat or forward movement you make, has to have a purpose.
knowing your opponent’s character’s strength and weaknesses and what moves he or she can do at that distance they’re at.
Here comes the fun part of fighting games.
Point 4 is why fighting games are so great. Always remember, fighting games is a 2 player game.
When you start winning due to good gameplan and out smarting your opponent, your wins start feeling very satisfying and you’ll enjoy the game more vs winning but not knowing why or how.
I’d give you an Insightful click if it was an option!
That’s helpful. Thanks!
Yeap. Teachers Pertho/Zio and Edmund will sentence you to detention class and make you play sf5 on 1 bar connection for a week if you ever mash and apologise again. How’s that for a deterrent? Loolll!
Hugs and hope ya’ll are doing good!
This is also why it might be worth sticking with 1 character or fighting game for a while.
Its really hard to play the mental game with your opponent if you’re still grappling with the basic mechanics of your own character. If you’re having to concentrate on that its impossible to concentrate properly on your opponent.
Amazon is wonky sometimes. Might want to check with your bank to see if they’re stopping the payment.
As someone who plays way too many characters in most of my games, I can attest to this. If I have to spend mental energy on “wait how the fuck did I do that thing in this particular situation again” I typically drop everything. Or at the very least I flowchart like a moron, and then lose because I don’t know all the little subtleties that make up a matchup beyond the very basic level.
I got it worked out. Just canceled the order after going through customer service.
Saved like 20 bucks buying from CD keys instead lol. I hate Amazon anyway
