As much as I love super hero stuff, I’m not much of a comic book reader so my experience is strictly through Tv shows, movies, and games.
I was also a kid/teen in the 90’s, so I love X-men, then spider-man, then Batman.
Everything else is cool though and I’m happy to get into it all.
I have actually been wondering about subscribing to marvel unlimited, which is like a comic book app to get Marvel comics (new and old) digitally. I’d love to dig into the x-men catalog. The 90’s cartoon was the shit, and I still watch it from time to time. The movies (mostly) sucked ass, so it’d be nice to dig into more (good) content.
Same I’m not a big comic book reader, at least as far as hero stuff goes. I did read and love Superior Spider-Man though, and I been getting into the Venom comics too.
They had ports for PS3/XB360 available digitally, with online modes, but were taken down abruptly years ago.
The odd bit is that Arcade1up released a Marvel cabinet last year. It doesn’t have any of the versus games, but does have X-Men COTA and Marvel Super Heroes, which I would think would’ve fallen under the same licence.
edit: Then again, I have no idea how licensing works. If it’s on a game by game basis, with an expiry date, then yeah, that could be the reason… Still seems odd a cab with COTA on it was just released though
