The Street Fighter 3poxy Strike: Everybody at home but SF5 doesn't have Netcode

I’m so freaking mad. :sob:

I really gotta find a way to play against people that just barrel through like a gorilla without looking like this:

The extra damage from only two characters helps.

Back when I was playing before I was trying to learn a proper point character. Probably Valentine or Filia

Honestly, that team is pretty good. Robo-F just throwing fullscreen beams to put people in blockstun for a whole month while Cerebella just flies in and start doing gorilla tactics is the kind of thing that “just works”.

Dunno about Robo as an anchor though, if she got a reversal, then honestly, you good.

So with my job ending my wife has ok’d a purchase of a new computer for job searching. It could also play Steam games or whatever. Any suggestions? I’m looking for desktop cause of price upgradability and performance.

Also no lights or other cool things on the case. It must not look interesting to toddlers.

What are you looking for performance wise? It’s probably better to start with some baseline performance that you’ll need.

X amount of Ram, a process that x strong etc

No idea. I know I wanna play 30th and Bloodstained (the Castlevania clone) and maybe Strider 2014. I don’t think there’s any point in looking at SFVs specs cause 6 is coming soon. And I can’t think of any 3d games that interest me. Retro metroidvanias are more my thing.

But upgradability for Riot fighter and SF6 should be possible.

Man that pony fighting game might have rollback, cool training mode and other features but I just know I’ll never play it because just fucking look at it lmao

Made me wonder though
Is this how sf players see anime? Have I been the metaphorical pot to the kettle all along, pretending I play good games regardless of aesthetic?

I feel like that’s not even a street fighter thing, or even a video game thing. People disregard great things for shallow reasons every minute of the day.

Sorry I can’t really recommend any specific computers.

What I did when I bought my computer years ago I looked at the specs for some games I like and tried to find something similar.

From what I’ve seen most fighters, especially older ones, are not very resource intensive compared to other games. It’s usually when you’re looking to run shit like the latest open world games at max settings when shit starts to get real expensive.

This is purely a budget suggestion.

To play most of these, as much as Darc jokes about it, specs like mine should work and since they’re fairly old, they’ll be dirt cheap.

It also has a GTX 750. 1GB.

Beware, this is like, the absolute minimum for a lot of modern games, but since you don’t seem interested in those…

If I had the cash to upgrade, I’d add more RAM.

Iirc, Evil Canadian used to work with this kind of stuff, so he’ll know better.

The original Robocop is kind of a satirical masterpiece.

No shit.

You’d be surprised.

This pops up in my recommendations from time to time, I’m always amazed at how this dub absolutely masters comedic timing.

Good budget pc will be

  • i5 9600 (CPU)
  • GTX 1660 ti (Graphics Card)
  • 16 gig Ram.

This is a solid budget pc setup that can last you the next 5-6 years. (Definitely able to play every next gen fighting game)

1060* but actually fuck Nvidia you can get a better offering from AMD for the same price

This dub is actually amazing. Plus Go Nagai is an incredible story teller.

R5 3600 is better CPU and it’s cheaper than an i5 9600.

30th training mode is super convenient, but I wish it was more fleshed out. I wish I could see hit/hurt/throwboxes.

I don’t think hitboxes are included in the majority of games, though I couldn’t tell you why.

Colored squares scare the racially pure developers.
