The longest and most unfair boss in fighting game history is probably the Eternal Champion from the game Eternal Champions. He has five forms you have to defeat and after you beat those, you have to fight another five. If you lose a round at any point, you will have to start all over again.
If you lose the match, you get the bad ending and kicked out to the title screen. Youāll have to play through the game again to reach him. The Sega CD version also has another Eternal Champion after you beat the first. Like him, he also has multiple forms.

There are probably a lot of unfair bosses in the history of FGs.
My personal favorite might be Parace from Arcana Heart, she can kill you in one combo very easaly and her framedata is so build that she has infinite true blockstrings and multiple infinite combos that break the game.
But the AI rather styles on your the whole time instead of just killing you.
I played around with her on a emulated version (you can swap some files and replace anyone with her) and this might have been the most fun character Iāve ever tried.
I enjoyed the Ping Pong Infinite. Should buy the game on Steam and mod the files just to fuck around with her in Training Mode all day.

@PlusFrames @Hawkingbird That looks like a fun set, sorry I missed out. I got wrapped up in something and missed the message. Iāll be up for some games tonight or this weekend for sure though.
Tried some Fujin last night but it felt like a bustā¦ton of unsafe strings and his āzoningā variation replaces his fireball with a projectile that literally doesnāt do damage unless you meter burn it. The sky run thing was cool but overall meh.

Many said Seth was unfair boss in SF4 but if i recall you could just spam fully charged focus attack on him and the AI didnāt react to it often.

Sounds good! Iāll be around tonight and this weekend in the evenings as wellā¦ Iām not quite sure what Iāll be doing tonight though (a real stressful week and am not sure what iāll be in the mood for), but Iāll let you know if Iām up for MK.
Regarding Fujin, yeah, heās a great example of how limited this variation system is. I think heād be a beast with customs though, that F3D1 slide/string is annoying to fight against as itās very hard to punish, and easy to abuse.
Anyone want games in something tonight? Iāve been in a FG funk lately, so I need to get dunked on to reinvigorate my spirits
