I can’t speak to how good mitsurugi actually is but I can share this story
I once met a guy who whipped out a pocket mitsurugi when I beat his astaroth, when I asked him why use that character he explained
“I only need two moves to win a ft2 with mitsurugi, 1bb and 3b”
Objectively this is not a long term winning strategy since those moves are steppable and negative (1bb almost punishable on hit lol) but he sure picked up a game
