I do wonder if that SF 6 “leak” is true.

So SF 6 was supposed to be releases 2021 ? I kinda see 2021 offering a preview not a release.

With them dragging season 5 all the way through 2021 not sure what to think anymore about a release date.

While I don’t want SF 6 to be rushed I do want a new SF game but thinking it may be releases 2023 / 2024 leaves me dissapointed.

I guess imma have to play Millia in Strive.

I actually ended up watching that trailer, I gotta ask, has there been an even half decent Souls like game made by a company that was not fromsoftware?

Lords of the Fallen.

It’s quite good and underrated.

Likely not. After looking up Dusk Golem on the RE Discord, it seems that he’s their equivalent to X-Kira.

American history sucks ass which is why woke libs think America should apologize to everyone for every bad thing we ever did during war times. We need school reform.

After some thought, FC2 is better, but only if you have hella game knowledge and adjust to all the missing frames.

Otherwise, if you’re a scrub like me, those skipped frames will fuck you up baaaaad

FC2 doesn’t skip frames though. The new netcode isn’t built to do that, so it depends wholly on your system or your connection. Better players suffer more by the way, but they tend to have systems that run it fine, so it’s no issue to them.

Then what the hell is it doing? It hops all over the place when the ping spikes or connections are weak.

That’s just rollback, my dude. Additionally you want to check your framerate and runahead while playing. You can check framerate and ping by hitting backspace during the games. You can check runahead by going to video > runahead in the game tab. Likely you’d need to disable it if it’s giving you issues.

Runahead is new software that dramatically improves gameplay on good systems and on good connections. It runs instances of the netcode repeatedly on one thread of one core, so it’s very high demand from the CPU despite doing only 3 things at once. Most people should disable it.

You could also check smoothing. Smoothing is found on the main FC page under the settings icon, and you can adjust as necessary. That’s totally up to you.

Yeah… I thought rollback skips frames if the prediction is incorrect.
So if your ping is 32 ms, and the prediction is wrong, it will delete those 2 frames that it predicted and continue with the true input.

Like if it thinks I’m going to block, but I get hit instead, it would show 2 frames of the block animation then jump 2 frames into my hit animation, right? So it’s effectively skipping frames?

That’s a good connection though. Something else would be at play there, likely the incapability of the system or that runahead is enabled on an older CPU.

Nope, not a single one. And we certainly weren’t talking about one just a few posts up from yours.

There are no good games like Souls that aren’t Souls. Don’t even bother looking, you won’t find any.

Anything with rollback has the potential to do this, yeah. So technically you will still get skipped frames when the connection dips down.

Fightcade 1 would literally eat inputs though, regardless of the connection. It was a problem with the emulation itself.

Some of the games in FC2 are more problematic than others. Like, for whatever reason Marvel 2 uses delay based netcode so that leads to all kinds of shenanigans. The desynchcronization is a big issue with some games too.
