The stick or me?

Hey I have just been playing SF4 for a little bit now. Right now Im using a Hori ex2 stick that I got about a year ago for another game. And Im starting to wonder if there is something wrong with my stick or if it is just me. So right now the problem comes from :qcb: moves and :bdp:. The problem really shows up with Characters that have both inputs as moves. So to explain with Crimson Viper she as Thunder Knuckle and Seismic Hammer and when I try to do one or the other move, it seems to be about a 50% chance of doing the other move. Even more so trying to do Thunder Knuckle will do Seismic Hammer more likely. No madder how slow or smooth I do it its still very likely to do Seismic Hammer.

Now this is the first time I really played a fighting game a lot with stick other than a few random times playing Guilty Gear in Japanese a few years ago. So I would completely understand if its just that I suck with using a stick :stuck_out_tongue:

So what do you guys think? How would I go about finding out if there is something wrong with the stick other than just buying a new one or flying somewhere where this is a SF4 arcade.
Thanks

but thunderknuckle is quarter circle back and seismo is srk motion forwards.
oh well, the point is, even for characters like ryu where srk and hadou are both forward, just make sure you go into neutral.

Use the Shortcut for the SRK, which is :df::df: . It works for me when I play in Arcade Sticks.

Wait yeah thunderknuckle is quarter circle back and seismo is srk motion forwards.

But with ryu with srk and hadou I pull them off no problem. I never get one when I was trying for the other.

So the only problem is when I try to do Thunder Knuckle it mostly comes out with Seismic Hammer. But I rarely get Thunder Knuckle when I was trying to do Seismic Hammer. And the fact that one is back and the other one is forwards makes it even more weird.

Use the input display option in training mode. Just try tapping into random directions and see if the right input is displayed on the screen.
