Pure vector art isn’t my forte, honestly. I normally use a bit of vector for final touches, but never the main piece. Especially tech vectors, all my stuff would be hip hoppy or punk type stuff. If I find more files to build upon, I’ll keep at it. Be quite awhile though while I mess with a new genre though, you’d be better off finding a different artist or work. = p

Cause vector art is a pain in the ass, it’s like thinking with the other side of the brain. Everything you wanna naturally do, you gotta do something else. At least, to me. It’s exacting, precise, and measured, not free flowing.

Black? On that vector as a background? You can mess with other people’s art really easy lol, it just feels dirty XD.

Lmao! Here’s the work file man, it still has all 4 backgrounds, characters(and the original large version of them hidden), and colored logo, you can mess with them or add/change whatever you want. If anything, and find a vector artist, you can easily put anything anywhere.

I’ll be playing with vectors more often, still trying to get into it, if I ever build some backgrounds, I’ll hit you up = p.

Oh wow man. I hadn’t gotten around to trying to clean up that one yet (was busy building a new PC). The PSD for The Lili template is larger than what my Sky drive account will handle, so it may work better if you send me the work file.

Big file, but I didn’t want to reduce the size. The legs aren’t too cleaned, but that’s easy, if you’re even going to use them. There’s two layers of her, that’s how I cleaned the hair. You can just merge those two.

I’d like to green to be Sanwa green and the purple to be Sanwa Violet to match buttons/balltop of the same colors

(Posting this in case your artistic eye can suggest a better way to arrange my colors)

I already have the 6 green buttons and the 2 violet and violet balltop, I really want to use those colors which is why I bought them before my art was finalized

I’m basically just trying to adapt the poster of the movie to fit on my stick.

I ran it through the vector magic website to give it the cartoony look seen in the mockup because I thought it would make cutting the characters out easier and in the end I think it gave it a cool look because the picture was already of a lower quality. I cut half of the characters out of the mock up because it was the only way I could make it look half decent, not that I don’t want them in there. Although adding them might make it too busy or crowded. I just don’t know.

I tried to cut the characters out to move them around but I’m really terrible at it and then I tried to redraw the title text so it wouldn’t look like ass when I printed it but, It’s hard to redraw vectors when I don’t even know what they are

The “They wont stay dead” I just retyped because it’s basic all caps arial bold

I’d like as much white in the background as possible because the stick has an all white body and guide buttons so I’m looking to keep it bright

The most important parts are:
The night of the living dead title in the classic text in the bottom right
The woman being in the top left of the stick, I like that pose and the look on her face and I think it would fit above the joystick well
The man with the board being in the space below the stick, he’s probably THE focus of the action on the stick

Everything else can be adjusted to fit as it needs to be.

My goal is to adapt the poster to the stick as much as possible but, with a white background between the characters rather than a generally dark background like on the poster.

Hey, I need a little help here.

I wanna mod my HRAP3SA so it looks like a T6/T6BR cabinet panel. In this thread: http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=158957 (which I’ve been bumping a couple of times) is all the info. I’ve tried it out myself but I couldn’t get what I wanted.

And also, I think I saw someone selling metal panels to HRAP’s. But I have been told that the guy who sold them don’t sell 'em anymore? I need one with six or four buttons (hole plug two), so if someone knows anything about this, PM me.

Help me, please!

Looks great but, I do have a few comments:

I would prefer the Title to be flat rather than the 3D effect you’ve given it. I would also like it to be bigger. Possibly as big as I had it in the mock up but, if you believe it shouldn’t be THAT huge I’ll trust your judgement. You’re the artist, not me. Also not that it needs to be said again but, I can’t tell via the monitor if the color matches sanwa green buttons or not so I’ll just mention again that I’m looking to color match it with the buttons.

I would like the contrast on the background to be higher so the blacks are blacker and the whites are whiter. Obviously trying to do this without loss of detail will limit how dark the darks can get and that’s fine. Obviously the goals is something that is visually appealing not pure black and pure white.

My final comment would be more plain white in the background to fit the all white body of the stick. Because the body is so white I’m worried that it’ll look really busy when the entire face is covered in greys. Of course this might be hard to do depending on how you’ve mashed the characters together as it is and perhaps altering the contrast might solve this worry aswell.

It looks awesome though. I think the only thing I don’t like is the effect on the text, everything else is just a minor concern.

I can key the sanwa color you gave, no prob, wasn’t clear on that, and the 3D is easily off. It does look really flat without any effect, maybe that’s what you’re going for though. I’ll up the size too ^^

I upped the contrast already, the original image was dark, and I figured you’d want more of the white to show through over grey. I left it at that point due to the detail loss. The guy in the bottom right and the girl in the top left begin to lose their face with more white.

As for the background, I know you asked to focus on white, but it’d look pretty bare bones without some sort of stuff going on. I figured the prevalent white showing through the characters would be enough. Lemme fix the title and edit in your white bezel to show.

Good call on more contrast, I got it up a bit more and maintained the detail ^^0 looks way more badass.

Only problem I see is that you can’t even tell the guy in the bottom left has an arm anymore and the top of the piece of wood is part of the girls shirt.

Other than that I love it and it’s exactly what I was going for. I imagine I could redraw the line for his arm and the piece of wood unless you were so inclined.

The contrast zombies took it!

Hehe, in the high res, he still has a bit of bicep/upper arm, its the wrist area that’s been blended. I lowered the contrast a bit more to make that and the wood pop out a bit(you’ll see it better close up). Also in the file, there’s the uncontrasted working background, you can play with the contrast on that to see what the different effects would be.

Redrawing isn’t gonna look pretty ><.

I have a quick request if someone could do it for me. Could someone go in and clean up my artwork for me? I got it a while ago and just now noticed some imperfections (Purple on her face, white pixels here and there). I just want to have it looking nice before I send it off to be printed.
