Jose/Makara/Chris: SONOMA REPRESENT! It’s been a while since I saw you guys together at a session and it was a great! You guys were the first connection we ever made outside of our own town which started what would become the Starbase of today. Jose, you play advanced level with like 6 characters. Makara, seriously one of the top Bison’s in Norcal and a serious Guile player. Chris the low tier King, constantly outclassing fools with characters that have limited tools. You guys are the reason I feel good about branching out and talking to other people in the bay.
DemonLos: Fuck you ******! Haha. Dude! I thought you had Honda on lock! How the fuck you gonna get put on blast by Fuller like that!? Seriously though, I get a lot of credit for organizing stuff in North Bay, but people fail to realize that it started with you. You made the front panel for the Sanwa Cab. You hosted our first house sessions. You connected us to Santa Rosa. You relentlessly invited me to sessions when I was an iffy scrub who wouldn’t consistently show up. You brought us to SVGL, our first tournies, our first exposures. You essentially introduced me to the game, taught me how to play and introduced me to this amazing scene and for that I’m truly grateful. You gave birth to North Bay and deserve all the credit in the world for what it is today. Most importantly, you introduced me to the Bistec!
Hooman: Dude you are without a shadow of a doubt the hero of Starbase. None of what I do to promote us has any weight without your incredible play. Thanks for teaching me over the months and being a good friend. Also, thanks for stepping up and repping North Bay as the Battle of the Bay captain and organizer. You are the North Bay champ and last night was proof that you, someone born of the North Bay scene, can hang with the best.
