The Honda play in the first video is really sick. The Zangief vs DeeJay fight in the second video has a ridiculous first round comeback. The last match of the third video is great as well.

Great vids VF4. I was curious if there is a comprehensive list of all the SF2 DVD’s like Evo/SBO and X-mania? I just started to get a few and want to see what is actually out there from all eras of SF2’s long play time.

This kat put up some vids today, dunno what year/event they are:

We already saw them.
VF4 just posted it right before u.

LOL those were the ones I didn’t watch that VF4 posted, LOL. My bad!!

This guy posted what I think was a warm up solo tourney for X-Mania in 2005. Pretty good stuff but the guy who posted it always does his own French commentary for everything he posts.

Anyways you can find the rest in related videos, it’s 16 parts in total. All the heavy hitters are there.

edit I think some of these matches have been on youtube for a while but this is the first time the entire tourney was uploaded.

It’s the X-Mania Starting Over tournament. A 16 person invitational where the players were selected by Daigo. alabamaman12345’s channel has had this for a while. It’s probably where Ken aka Puyo432343 got the videos from. He takes matches already uploaded to places like YouTube, Nico, or Zoome, and does his own commentary over them in French.

Oh, can you tell me what to search for on alabamamans channel to get those videos. I knew about his channel but didnt know he had the whole thing on there.

LOL I was JUST going to make a post about Puyo’s channel. I initially took notice because he put up a few ST vids (which are already up), but in just a weeks time they got around 2k views each. Nice channel he has if the french are on it like that and a good way of promoting SFII.

From a cursory glance it seem YuuVega is playing Dic and Deejay not Clew lol. Or was he playing all 3 chars?

**X-Mania X **looks too good to be true Inomata and a triple T.Hawk team… I feel like an imbecile missing out on this, is there any chance that someone recorded the stream or maybe a DVD release is in the making?

Crosses fingers.

Supersf2turbo has the Star Cup warm up matches up. Here are the original matches available in zip files to download. I’ve watched a handful of the matches below and I must say that they were all quite excellent. Some great high level footage all around.

Sawada (Cammy, Fei) & Prince (Chun, Ryu) vs. Aniken (Ryu, Ken, Boxer) & Nero (Blanka)

**Club Sega 5on5 (2008) **

Has anyone uploaded this? I keep reading about this event, but I can’t find any footage from it.

This matchlist is pretty much legendary. Call me biased, but I think the Yuuvega/Tsuji set is the best though, haha.

Thanks. For the Ryu players out there, I particularly recommend Gotoh vs Tencho. Their mastery of footsies, and especially at max speed setting, is really nice. Fast reactions and good punishes too. It’s what the Japanese call “gachi”, i.e. elegant play.
