I’d say Mika. The animation lasts so long it pretty much empties her entire stun gauge AND it’s a throw KD so you can’t back tech it. Don’t know about oki tho.
I mean Sonic Fox’s most recent domination of the last year of MKX is with acidic alien, the zoning variation of the character. He just find what works for him and nobody is gonna stop him.
I never thought this for a moment. Look back to the first few tournaments and it’s jump-ins everywhere (with some random IAT and bison shenanigans sprinkled in). Months later you still had OG’s trying to convince everybody that SFV is all about footsies, but I think they were really just trying to convince themselves that they were still relevant.
Oh Mylanta why is zoning being represented in such an obscene way? Makes dog fights look like a summer picnic. Count on Sonicfox to get in booty grab close with the zoning version of a character and rushdown the other non zoning version.
I wish there was another character that could dictate neutral like Guile but wasn’t boring as all sin to use. Zoning is good and Guile is top tier but he is so linear that I find him pretty unenjoyable.
Even his relatively hard boom loops are anti-hype because of how long and repetitive they are.
Wait in the injustice video why is he trying to zone batgirl when she has meter like that. It seems like she can just bypasses deathstroke guns instantly with that move where she flies into the air.
I love the boom loops as they’re an exception in the game unlike in IV where everyone has some long grounded loop. Plus it’s Guile the zoning man of all people going in. I need some long loop fix to hold me over till Mahvel any way
Plus the revert to 3 bar trigger means longer loopz
Maybe they would still be relevant if sf5 was actually about footsies
I was lying to myself too for the first few months, “no this is totally the footsies game”.
I’d say him getting top 8’s at stacked majors in the only year of his life he has ever played street fighter(zero sf4 or previous background) with fang of all characters means he was also pretty godlike at SF5 as well. The fact he didn’t stick with it is up to him I can’t guess his motivations.
Also I said no lie, Acidic alien is the zoning variation. Tarkatan is straight up superior at rushdown and 50/50s and shit. However whatever character he plays he will turn it into a blender that’s just how it goes. He could make you think gief is the most savage rushdown character in sf history if that’s who he wanted to play.
>Playing casuals early in the morning before leaving for work
>Get matched up with another meat shield
>I win won match he wins the next
>Tell myself not to over extend and watch what does
>Channel Major Boy’s spirit inside me
Starting blowing this nigga up like I’m reading his mind. He tries to throw out a medium but I counter perfectly. We in HKD city boyz! I dash in knowing this nigga would press a button. He wakes up c.lk because he thinks it’ll throw off my counter. Naw nigga don’t you see there is no spoon. Counter his c.lk with perfect timing. As the sexy low counter animation starts the screen begins to slow down “no no nooo nooooo god nooooooooo!!!”
