If MKX or Injustice 2 was the main event I just wouldn’t play it period.
Nice that SF has such a stronghold on people that they just have to play it. Even SFIV I only gave that 2 years before Marvel came out and I was out. Though I guess technically that was the main event for a year or 2.
My true poverty time was with Killer Instinct. It was refreshing to play a game that was somewhat active, but different from other games and had its own niche audience. Just after they changed the game up again I started to not like the changes so dropped that. Well mainly dropped it cuz SFV was coming and it had a lot of things I liked and a lot of things I didn’t like about IV removed.
Noone would have an issue with Max if he didn’t spread so much misinformation.
It’s just amazing how much crap can come out of his mouth and his fanbase eats it up because they don’t know any better, therefore making it so a lot of people have only heard the wrong information which makes discussion a fucking drag because you have all these idiots who only parrot what they read top players write on twitter saying dumb bullshit because they heard Max say so.
Killer Instinct was such a great game in both Season 1 and 2. I absolutely hate S3 though, too much gimmicky stuff and stupid characters combined with a questionable lack of polish.
Currently they don’t even have enough money to make new fighters anymore so we get C-grade Ultimate animations for the existing cast that would even manage to look out-of-place in a chinese bootleg version of Toy Story. It’s a shame Microsoft is/was unwilling to pump more money into this game.
Nothing really. Since the game for me momentum and neutral wise is like a more accessible combination of 3rd Strike and Alpha 2. Those are my favorite SF games so no reason to go anywhere.
Just really like the way it feels. I think the input lag could go down a bit, but if KOF can manage with 6.4 frames and be a very aggressive game, don’t think it’s impossible for SFV to exist in the current delay with people still whiff punishing and one hit confirming at top level any way. Plus Ibuki is top tier and plays a lot more to her 3S version neutrally than SFIV Ibuki.
Marvel will get me to play it less, but that’s just cuz I love crack and you just don’t get a better video game adrenaline rush than Marvel. Marvel is the only game where you’ll see both players laying in the back of the chairs after a match. Win or lose. It takes everything from you. Marvel Infinite will be another poorly designed game that people won’t be able to stop playing and I like those kinda games.
Once Akuma gets to 900 health you honestly should just play him. I think Ryu will be more competitive in 2.1, but Akuma gives you better set play and technically a better zoning game since fireballs don’t really need to be active all the way to full screen in this game any ways. Once his DPs are anti air active on frame 1 I don’t see any reason to use Ryu over him. You get a better overall shoto game with better walk speed and a more dangerous V Trigger with better ways to build for it. His stubbiness isn’t that bad since his c.MK and s.MK do have more range than people credit them for and combined with his fastest walk speed for a shoto let him whiff punish things decently. He’s also the only shoto with multiple plus on block buttons including I believe at least 2 that are plus 3.
Also has things like air ex fireball which stops a lot of shit in the neutral game and gives you space. Something that the other shotos don’t really have. Secretly one of the best EX moves for a lot of reasons.
Watching WFX Samurai and Tokido fight against Laura players (Samurai vs 801 and Tokido vs Wolfkrone), they definitely get better momentum and control vs Laura than they would with a Ryu. You can see that they are a lot more in control of pressuring and zoning her than a Ryu would be.
Ryu has a nice white gi and stuff, but if you wanna do shoto stuff and have more options, just start learning Akuma.
Whenever I proper fully get back into SF I think I am gonna play Charlie a bunch, watching Bonchan inspired me as he was playing Street Fighter ass SF, none of the bullshit I don’t like about sf5.
I mean Charlie sucks but I have played Vega this whole time so not like I am losing out.
