I agree man… Fuck these people and their feelings. It’s just a god damn track in a god damn video game. This game is FILLED will racial stereotypes and other bullshit like that. Glad to know that 20 years later after Ocarina of Time came out that people still get fucking offended over shit like this.
I honestly have no idea what SF has to do with Shadowverse. I understood GranBlue was an alternate reality made from the same company, but this seems completely random.
Also, why should it take so fucking long to fix the mix??? All of the music was probably done on Logic or ProTools, you literally just go into the source file, delete the offensive track, add in a few of the OG bell samples at the beginning, check the mix, remaster it, which may only take a few EQ and balance tweaks in the spots where the sample used to be, click bounce or finish, export as .wav and send it to whomever needs to add it to the game file.
Why didn’t they get it done today? This is a one hour job, max, for ME.
I’m gonna grab it too. It’s not really been on my radar tbh but now it’s getting a PS4 release I’m gonna check it out. It seems a bit slower than other anime games and defence is stronger I hear. Sounds interesting.
I’ve been watching a little bit and it looks very fun.
I highly doubt the theme was removed -because- someone complained about being offended
seems more like a pre-emptive reaction
I just have no idea why they decided that sound clip was a good idea
its like putting christian rock in the background of a mosque stage
granted, christian rock is never a good idea…
I can only see it needing to take 24 hours if now 12 different empty suits at 4 different companies all need to review it and approve it to cover their collective asses.
They probably just heard the vocal track and thought “hey it sounds cool and fits with the stage”. I don’t think there’s anyone fluent enough in Arab at Capcom to understand what the chanting actually said (it wasn’t clear even for @amrraed who is a native speaker).
