I think Wesker’s a lock on for that game. He was one of the most played characters in the last game, one of the most popular characters in RE and one of the few recognizable villains that Capcom has. If Capcom doesn’t put him in then it’s confirmed they hate money.

OR we could be getting Akuma, Kolin, Ed and three dolls because Capcom. They [Dolls] are even more or less done (model + moveset) which = less work = Capcom business model.

That argument’s stupid because those story characters were created with the goal of being S2 characters.
Hopefully Ed gets a bison alt and a Balrog alt… And a nostalgia outfit where he is a small androgynous child in a hospital gown.

At least story characters are somewhat placed in a context. If the new character was a random guy you never heard of, there would be no hype around it
If it is Ed maybe he will be more like Akihiko from P4A than a Balrog type style wise.

I’ve never gotten the issue with reused assets in fighting games as long as they lead towards something unique. I don’t really care if I already saw this guy in story mode as long as his gameplay is interesting.

Well my rage is subsided slightly, at least they revealed who the next character is finally. Still blows my mind that they havent dropped this info sooner but whatever.
As for the actual character, eh. Will have to see him in motion before I pass judgement.
Capcom will never give me the pleasure of playing a zoning character in SF5. Everyone has to be grinding their bodies against each other in this game.
