Yeah I was gonna say what dandy said… in almost all the cases in tenka were you’d throw in other ss games, it’s generally better not too, because the risk/reward ratios are all screwed up, in the ways that buktooth mentioned earlier. Things shift a bit for characters who can otg grab you after pounce and such but pounce isn’t even always guaranteed after throw (I think this is going off memory) so whats the point?
Yeah you’re right it aint guaranteed…
With Iroha the mixup is Back+D Karacancel into Nake Grab if they Tech, or just Pounce to Nake Grab OTG if they don’t.
Ok you guys make a great point but that is what makes it strategic at the same time knowing thats your best option also forces you to peck at each other with other things rather than grabs.
Does anyone have a link to the translations for the fucking huge training menus? :wgrin:
Also, I’ve found a FAQ on cyberfanatix, but I don’t know if that’s the best one out there…I’m really struggling to find out solid info on all the grooves/any crazy move properties, etc. Thanks for any help.
Oh no man…there is rarely any training move menus at all…and very few if any move lists…
Guardcrush.net I believe has more groove stuff…and at the beginning of this thread etc.
I watched loads on Tenka last year at FR and I’ve played it once since then at one of our LaBamba tournaments in Anderson, SC and I really like the game BUT, I don’t have a modded PS2 AND the groove system is a total mystery to me with no Engrish mode. Why can’t SNKP release this in the US on any system?
I’d love to see it on XBox with LIVE support to make up for the junk they did on SSV.
Ted
yo roski, when you go to the Command list part of the training menu, you have to choose between two pieces. The first is one that explains what all the grooves do (in Japanese of course) and the second takes you to your character’s specific move list.
First up you’ve got specials, then SS6 grove EX moves, then supers. The groove symbol beside the super/EX tells you which you have to be using to do the move.
I’m at work and I don’t remember clearly, but I think the yellow circle is A, blue B, orange is C, red D, and I think green is E? lol a movelist/explanation would totally be great…
Liquited are you entering the SST tourney at FRX?
I have no plans on attending FR this year. It will be the first one I have missed in 5 years but I find I don’t have the time to spend on such events as I used to…
Ted
Thanks Brent.
Ochomaru’s command grab…HOW DO YOU DO IT!?@ Is there a trick?
hcb,f+a -> a,a,b+c -> c,c,a+b+c -> a,b,c,b,a+b+d - I CANNOT get that last part - the timing is crazy. I want to play her but I’m not going to if I can’t figure out how to do this grab. I feel like I’ve completed the button presses, but nothing comes out.
ill enter sst at frx.
i use kazuki, and only kazuki because i dont have the game so i dont really have time to practice anyone else.
Good shit Epsilon!
Damn I finally get this game and the thread dies?
The thread will probably pick back up in the event of FRX doing good etc.
My Best Collection version of this showed up today.
Is there a complete move list and engine breakdown faq floating around somewhere? Thanks.
He’s right Jester.
I’d go there first…
